Hi All: I thought this would be a fun thread. I'm betting some of you have a "real" story to tell!! Unfortunatly,I'm no longer one of them.
My Sweetie went out early to eat with my Sister and her husband. We then went home and ushered in the New Year alone. I did dress when we got home and that always makes the evenings special.
So enough about my boring evening, I love to hear about yours!!

Danielle, I met up with two of my friends for an early dinner and back home. I don't like being on the roads on New Year's eve.

My wife and I stayed home.
I wore a blue and black sweater dress with hose, heels, and makeup. On the other hand, my wife was in her usual grubby cotton nightgown.

Firstly; A HAPPY NEW YEAR !
to each and everyone of you ! I saw the new year in at a party on the city harbourside. There was about 40 people there, including at least 25 TG friends. It was a great time ! Seeing all the firework going off and thousands of those 'balloon' things that you light a flame under and skywards they float !
Then at about 1.15am I went on to my daughters party where the fun continued. I was talking to an old friend there for over half an hour before he realise he knew me, even then I had to tell him ! I sure the drink must have affected him, although I recieved lots of lovely comments, especially from the women !
It was a wonderful night !

I actually did spend it completely dressed from head to toe, at least the first half of the day. Unfortunately come evening times there were parties me and the Mrs. had to attend so I had to spend an hour franticly scrubing my face until I was red and go back to male mode.

I'm with you on the "Scrubbing" Jocelyn !! Did you ever get into a conversation and have someone peer intently into your face? I always wonder if I've missed some mascara or eyeliner.....Or if what I'm saying is realy interesting LOL

I live with my conservative family, but I've bought and worn women's clothing that can blend I even wore a bra and camisole, the only male clothing I was wearing was my shirt, that said I'm not sure it was really 'en femme' because I didn't do my nails, makeup, or try to look feminine in anyway

I didn't really go out anywhere but I was dressed all day. After Supper I did my nails, played with my hair then redid my makeup. I went to the drugstore and bought some hair clips, a bracelet and some black thigh high stockings. I got to do all the things I've always wanted to do! It was a fantastic evening!

Spent the night in fishnet stockings, Mary Jane patent leather chunky heels and about 10 different short skirt and top combinations. That was my way of bringing the dress up party home.

Stayed home with wife and I wore satin PJ's while she had on a cotton nightgown. She is little skittish of me wearing my satin chemise and robe that I have on now, she it out with her sister.

Last night I was in jeans and a T shirt, but with my forms.
Today though, I'm shopping in girl mode. Right now I'm enjoying lunch at Panera.

We went to the VFW for a party there. Later, at home I got dressed up a bit. We had champagne and both glasses had lipstick on the rim. Today is the 1st and I am finally going to put on all the war paint and talk my wife into taking a picture of me to post. Of course, no one cares about a 65 year olds picture in a dress, but it is my "New Years Resolution" to be that much more out in the world.

I spent NYE 2011 in New York City! :c9:
Nope, I didn't go to Times Square to watch the ball drop, I was actually in Brooklyn at a burlesque event.
I had planned to do this a year ago, but was ill prepared. Now I finally did it!
Evidence is in my flikr page below.

I stayed in and took a nap earlier in the evening after talking to my sweetheart 1,200 miles away. We wished each other a happy new year and agreed to make this a better year for us. Then I woke, showers, shaved and dressed. But not with wig and makeup. Now there's a horrible sight to see! lol My room mate was out but still needed to be careful. Soon after midnight I went out into the back yard and enjoyed the night air and the sounds of fireworks around me. But then I missed a step and took a fall skinning my right arm badly, along with my ribcage area. I know I shoudl have just stayed in bed. OUCH!
I want to take this moment to wish all of you an very happy and prosperous new year. May all your hopes and dreams come true.

I didn't get to dress this year, but last year I spent NYE dressed with the lady I was dating. Ironically, this NYE, my ex wife came over, I cooked a 3 course Thai dinner and she stayed the evening.. No hanky-panky, but we did share the bed for the first time in over 5 years. It was actually a very pleasant evening as friends.

Thanks Danielle, but I'm OK. I shocked me when I missed that step in the dark. It hurt like hell, and I stayed still for a few seconds trying to figure out if I broke anything. But all my parts moved and I was able to get up and go inside to see the two scrapped and bruised areas. Not a problem. I feel fine now. And yes, we do know you are the expert at falls. But mine was no wheres as bad as yours. lol

I got to spend New Years Eve as Shayna! It was awesome, I went out to 'Bout Time, a TG friendly bar here in Austin, TX. I wore pants, a shimmery top, and boots. I saw a great friend there I haven't seen in a while and we hung-out. Awesome way to start 2011!! :)

Party at the LGBTQQ* club (same place we hold our club meetings.) I can't say that I really did much... sat around and chatted with a couple of random people.
I did, though, enter the Beach-wear contest, and came in 4th in the Female side. Or another way of putting it is I came in last. That's okay, at least I did get some audience cheers, and at least I participated . Got a couple of compliments too ;-) Let there be no mistake: the only way I could have bested the woman who did win would have been if she had declined to run. (Half my age and at least four times as pretty!) But I got in to the spirit -- I got up on stage with everyone else!
I had to rush off for the city bus not long after midnight: it was bitter cold out and I knew getting a taxi would be a mess.

I dressed for the first time on a New Year's Eve. In all these years I never did. Even put on makeup, foundation, eye make-up and lipstick. But sadly, I had no parties to go to so I was home alone where I drank a toast to 2011 with a glass of ginger ale!

We had a party here at the house, and I had to be in male mode. I dressed en femme for bed, though, and slept in forms and wig--not a usual occurrence. I've been jonesing for some girl time lately.

I did dress femme, but didn't got out. Plans for NYE where cancelled for a variety of reasons, so I dressed in my favorite sweaterdress, black nylons, pumps, and chatted in the rooms.
Happy New Year to you all!

Like Erica, didn't end the year in femme mode, but have started the new year off right, spending a wonderful morning getting all glammed-up. So much fun! Bought some new makeup, misc. underthings, and a wonderful new dress to play around with…
Hoping you're all having as nice a new year's day… and wishing all a Happy New Year!

When out and partied hard as my real self, and had a great time, hangover next day though
This year, 12 of our group attended the annual NYE party at the Avalon Hotel in Erie,PA. It was estimated that attendance was over 500. The crowd was a younger crowd. Most all there were accepting of our group. Many came to our table to get their pic taken with us. Other came and sat with us just to visit. We spent the evening dancing with dozens of different gg's.
It was a grat time. Always nice to go out to a straight venue and have fun with everyone else.
There were many compliments from the gg's on our outfits.
I'll try to get some pix posted in the pic section.

I had a New Year's Eve party at my house and invited a bunch of my CD friends and their SO's to attend. There were 13 of us in all. We enjoyed lots of food and drink before watching the "ball drop" on television to see in the New Year. I then got everyone out in the driveway as I set off enough fireworks to make sure all my neighbors were awake.
I don't have permission to post photos of the others at the party, but here is what I was wearing for the evening.

I did switch to some flat boots when I set off the fireworks in the yard (sorry for the poor photo quality).

My wife and I stayed in and had a quiet night. I got "comfortable" in a new blue satin dress from Dressbarn, new black satin bolero jacket from Dressbarn, heels and hose. My wife got "comfortable" in jeans and sweatshirt, lol. I'm really, really lucky to have her!!! :D

I dressed up and went to a friend's party. No one at the party knew about my dressing before the night, but they were all very cool with it. I did call the day before to make sure that the host was okay with it, which she was. I was nervous about going, because I've never been "outed" to such a large group before, but everyone was very accepting, and we all had a lot of fun.
I also ended up coming out to a friend and his family, since I was picking him up to go to the party. I'm not sure what they though about it, so I am somewhat nervous about that.

Hey Jocelyn: At least you had a good first half of the day!
Correct and it was a step foward from last year when I was not en-femme. The only downside was I was having a bad hair day, my outfit I wore did not look right for some reason, and pictures I took did not turn out well. However it was better than nothing.
I'm with you on the "Scrubbing" Jocelyn !! Did you ever get into a conversation and have someone peer intently into your face? I always wonder if I've missed some mascara or eyeliner.....Or if what I'm saying is realy interesting LOL
There's nothing like the paranoia when chatting with people that you sense did I get all of the eye liner and mascara off. Also why is everyone really focusing on my eyes so much. :o

Didn't go out, never do, not much for New Years party's where everyone wants to see who can get the drunkest, don't get me wrong, in my younger days I loved it, just out grew it.
But I did dress for the evening, Long black velvet skirt, with a red satin blouse, and a pair of black stiletto's. New Years day, I got up and put on a new peasant blouse, and a pair of black leggings to watch the Rose Parade, wore them for the whole day of course. Today it's back to drab and out to put away Christmas decorations.

I spent NYE laying in bed wearing my sweats and recovering from minor hernia surgery while my wife and grandkids in the next room banged the pots and blew on the wheezy horns. I'm well on the way to recovery and see more chances to dress in the coming year. Happy New Year to all.

My spouse and I spent NYE at a house party with our women's group. One of the husbands showed up with his wife but otherwise it was just us girls. He and his wife left a bit before midnight. The rest of us continued to chat and snack until it was time to welcome in the New Year. We all gathered in a circle in the dining room and toasted the New Year and ourselves with a bit of bubbly.

I stayed in and dressed up for the first time in over 2 years. (Had to stop for personal reasons, thankfully I didn't purge when I stopped.)
It was one of the better New Years Eves that I had in awhile. I spent some of the time ordering some new outfits.
HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, another NYE. This year was one of the better that I have had. Underdressed for an afternoon outing and a meal with my SO and her sister. Really bad weather on the way home with the roads being covered in ice, 25 miles an hour for almost 35 miles, some stress. Got home and finish getting ready for the new year. My SO bought me new shoes, and a winter coat, something that Nancie has always wanted. My SO even helped with the make up. Took a few pics and than took a walk outside down the driveway, felt very nice with the breeze, but careful walking with the ice. Stayed femme all night and welcomed in the New Year with my SO. Oh, what a girl.

For the first time in a while I took the time to do my makeup, wore a new pair of Silkies off-black hose, black pallazzo pants, a nice pair of strappy black heels and a very silky red and glittery top and then topped it off with my wig. I actually tried to take some pictures but the camera shows a completely different picture than what you see in the mirror. I was very disappointed. Oh well practice makes perfect. haha
