My knee high Nine West boots are killing my poor feet. They only have what looks like a 3.5" heel. Why do higher heels not hurt as bad? The price I pay for longer, more slender legs I guess. I would wear these everyday if I could.

I also learned a valuable lesson as a woman today. Remove your rings and pull up your sleeves before trying to take the skin off chicken. It really makes the clean up a lot easier.

Allot depends on how wide the heel is, balancing on a really small heel is harder no matter what the height is.
If you are sliding forward which I havent found to be a problem with boots.

They may just need broken in a bit,
Do they hurt when you sitting down with no weight on them ?

Oh one thing on boots is the calf big enough ? If you are cutting of circulation it will hurt.

The heels are about one inch wide and my feet hurt only when I am standing in one place for a while (Cooking in the kitchen). While the calves are snug, they are not overly so. I have only worn them for about 3 hours in a year so I bet you are right about needing to break them in. Would love to take stroll or something, but not that brave LOL.

I guess I'm a litle luckier than most girls. I have become well accustomed to higher (3 3/4"+) heels, that whatever type of shoe, heel, or heel height, I have little or no problems with pain, etc. I own 2 pair of 9 West boots and absolutely love them for their comfort, even with the 3 1/2" blade heels.

I find that heels need to be broke in assuming they are the right size.If they're too small they will hurt your feet regardless. On youtube it shows several ways too stretch them with the neatest being stuffing them with a baggie full of water then putting them in the freezer.
