Earlier today my wife went out shopping. She needed a few things for her makeup kit. We are leaving for a couple of days tomorrow, looking at property in Las Vegas. When she comes home, she hands me a bag and says, "I got a gift for you." I opened the bag, and much to my delight, I found a new eyelash curler. My gosh, I love this woman.

You are Lucky.

Good time to buy in Vegas.

If you have not seen it before zillow.com is a nice site to scan.

Hi Holly!
I know what you mean. Having a loving and accepting wife is definately a good thing.:)
Having one that thinks of you and gets things, even small ones, is really a plus!:D
I wish that more of us had that kind of "normal" relationship.

Really cool! It must feel wonderful to have an accepting and supportive S/O.

What a wonderful sweet lady you have, Holly. You know what they say - birds of a feather.......

The thing I like the most about this situation is it probably isn't a special effort for her. She accepts you, so it is just normal to pick up something for you when she sees it as opposed to "let me get something for Holly" thoughts. Automatic is the best acceptance!

Well, we just got home a little bit ago. Submitted an offer for a house :D... should know something by the end of the week. And I cannot tell you how delighted I am that you all seem to understand the point of this thread. It wasn't the gift istelf that was important (although it was very cool). It was what it represented... a mate who takes me as I am, warts and all. My wife is so courageous (although she will deny it).

Acceptance and support is a wonderful thing. My last birthday my S.O. got me two birthday cards. One for Him, and one for Jenny. She could not have said it better.

Same here! And lingerie for Jay Cee. It was awesome.

Warms my heart to hear about all the accepting SO's out there.

I know exactly how that feels. My SO will pick up clothes like that all the time, she will say we can share it. It is an amazing feeling when someone treats you like a girl because they really think you are a girl. For me, that is the most serene I have ever felt. All the problems I have with myself just melt away and I am alive, I feel...... Normal. That's pretty much what I live for.

She is a doll, no doubt. I tried to return the favor tonight. I made a batch of brownies for a meeting I have to go to tomorrow and I gave her the bowl & mixing spoon to lick. Lord knows she did the same for me for a lot of years. It's fun doing special little things for one another! By the way, she did a darn fine job cleaning that bowl and spoon :D.
