Just wondering about the support groups in So Cal, and in particular Tri-Ess. Their website seems infrequently updated at best and sometimes makes one wonder if they are even active. I noticed that a couple of other Tri-Ess chapters' websites were not up to date either.

Any opinions on Tri-Ess or other groups in So Cal would be welcome. Thanks.

Poor websites are a frequent problem for Tri-Ess. Often they just don't have anyone with the time to run the site.

I looked at attending a SoCal Tri-Ess meeting some time back. After reading their disclaimers, it was clear to me that I WASN'T in their target CD/TG demographic! However, u MAY BE, Olivia!

Hi Olivia,

I'm sorry I can't be of much help to you regarding SoCal Tri-Ess but if you're looking for an online California TG support group you could join our Yahoo group. We're in Sacramento but we have members from all over and there are few girls from SoCal that are subscribed. Here's a link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/river_city_gems/ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/river_city_gems/) if you're interested.

Hugs
Rachel

I can't speak for California.
My Tri-Ess in New Jersey (Sigma Nu Rho) has treated me well, created strong friendships, made me earn my wings, but these days I am often out in public, and beyond the need of monthly support group meetings.

I would say don't worry so much about the website, just try to connect via email or whatever with someone afiliated with the organization. Your local chapter may run a bit loose, and perhaps a bit casual, if not lackidaisical. Tri-Ess is national.

In my case, we, uh....seem to be a bit lax in taking group photos like we should. That's something I'm trying to remedy personally.

Thanks for the replies and info. and I would still be interested if anyone here has participated in SoCal Tri Ess or any other SoCAl support group.

That really surprises me considering the seemingly high proportion of CD/TG folk who are computer techno geeks. LOL.:)

Apparently Tri-ess has a target audience that not all of us will fit into.

I attend a group in San Diego called Neutral Corner...

http://www.myneutralcorner.com/

It is an all-inclusive group.
