So I have been seeing lots of videos on youtube which document the changes people have gone through with HRT (some are amazingggg! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EgnaMIMhcw&feature=related like this one I just watched... big change!).

But, things are normally focused on the face. I'm not finding too much information on the body (I have found some where they document measurements). Mainly, the shoulders and chest cavity!

From what I understand, the muscles in the upper body are slowly taken away (along with moving around fat). This shrinks the size of the chest cavity and the ribs compress more. But, does anyone have a source where this is shown (instead of just talked about)?

I know these types of muscle and fat changes take a while (but I have a couple ideas on how to speed things up a little bit :).

This is what I've SEEN from other people who have posted pictures/videos of before and afters.

The chest cavity does shrink slightly since the muscles supporting it weaken due to HRT, though the most you'll get out of it is possibly an inch off your bra size (that's not to say you won't go down further - there's a LOT of muscle and fat that is lost that many people forgot is there).

As for shoulders, the overall bone width will not change. They will hang in a slightly different position, again due to slacker muscles, and the muscle over the top of the arm/shoulder will also shrink reducing the appearance of width. But again, if you had wide shoulders before you started, you'll still have wide shoulders after HRT.

Well said Kokoro. :hugs:

Just find someone who gives you constant bear hugs. Eventually all that loving around the chest will push everything inward! :heehee:
