View Full Version : I just can do it...
I can't bring myself to wear flats. I'm tall in guy mode and with heels I am a giant. IN an attempt to be less of a giant, I was looking at some flats on eBay and I just can't do it, I just can't bring myself to wear flats because I think they are all ugly!
I was just watching an old episode of 30 Rock and heard a line perfect for this post. "Flat shoes are for quitters."

I agree, Jill. However, there's heels, and then there's HEELS! I don't consider anything under 4" as "heels". They're just "ladies shoes". Lol.
Altho, I bought some ballet flats last year that seem to go well with bathing suits and dance outfits!

For what it's worth I get more compliments from GG's about my shoes when I am wearing flats that heels. Don't know why but I'll take them. LOL

Wear the shoes that make you comfy!
Not all flats are created equal just like not all heels are created equal. My friends that know me will tell you I am a shoe snob, but that doesn't mean that you have to be a heel to make it into my closet.
I have several pairs of flats and I personally love them and have received numerous compliments on them. A great looking pair of flats typically isn't cheap and not all flats=comfort.
Height is relative. If you are tall, you are going to be tall in flats and you are going to be tall in heels. What is a couple of inches among friends?

Forget the flats, wear the pretty heels. Feminine beauty comes in all heights.

Whenever I am dressed as a woman I feel the most comfortable in heels, in stocking feet 6'-5" tall with heels probably 6'-8" or better.

I love wearing heels but during the day to go shopping or tag along with the wife, flats are much more comfortable and pretty flip flops show off the pedicure!

try working all day on your feet and say you can't wear flats.

I have ordered a pair of flats and with my big feet, not the easiest to find. I love heels, but times and feet dictate times for flats too!

I love my flats, and would wear them even if I wasn't 6'5" in my bare feet.

My wife wears only flats (or sneakers). She has foot problems. Many women wear flats much or most of the time. Or sneakers. Most real women don't put on makeup or high heels to go to the grocery store.
Take a seat on a bench at the mall and count the women walking by. Mark down the ones in each type of shoe. You'll see.

Hard to top these opinions.
As much as I might swoon over the perfect pair of heels, I absolutely adore my flats...and of course many other flats that I see in my travels. Cute, adorable, pretty, stylish and most importantly, comfy!!!

I'm a tall woman, and I love flats. Most of my shoes are some kind of ultra-flat boot or ballet slipper. If you want to be inspired by them, check out Audrey Hepburn - so cute and femme in ballet flats. Every now and then I will wear very high heels (I don't like mid-height heels, either docrobbysherry), one benefit of very high heels is that they make my (large ) feet look smaller, especially wedges.

Look through a place like Zappos for flats, all the variety.

I tried flats, and really gave them an effort (to like).. Wearing them is easy, no brainer.. But I too as well as every other cross dresser seems to be in agreement, just HATE flats.. And I am about six feet tall without shoes on, so wearing heels seems counter to ... Well let me tell you this as well.. I am a cross dresser and being such I don't feel like I should be held to the same rules that goofy women make up.. Why do you have to be five and a half feet tall to wear heels?? The closer to six feet you are the shorter the heels to the point where if you are six feet tall you have to wear flats?? I'm a cross dresser and I feel like I am by definition an outcast so why not live that way.. No rules.. Wear white after Labor day (what's that rule about anyway?).. I think as well that I like the challenge of wearing high heels, and that they complete the feeling of cross dressing..
