Hi, all. I just wanted to share my day yesterday. I'll type it out to you all who can appreciate how nice it was. I have no one to "dialog with".
Got up, per usual, with my wife. Got the kids off to school and my wife went on a day trip with some girlfriends to celebrate a brithday with some shopping and lunch. (Boy would I have loved to go with them!)
It was just nice to have a relaxing 5 hours at home alone. I put on a black skirt with some pretty beige and light green flowers, a green cami, and a cute green top. All of my make up went on like a dream. First time with green eye shadow. Even though I didn't (can't) go out, I decided to put on my boots, (3" spikey knee-highs) since it was a cold day here in Chicago. I was even happy with my jewelry. Teardrop and diamond earrings, a green and silver beaded necklace with similar, but not perfectly matching, bracelet.
I don't normally get enough time to deal with the effort of putting on nail polish. But we have a new color in the house from New Years that I was dying to try on. It also went on very well and looked great.
I was able to swish the day away. I took a few pictures and started a new portfolio project (a small "booklet" of my best photos.)
Made a nice girly lunch (very healthy) and had a small glass of white wine and listened to some talk radio and some light music.
I was so happy and relaxed that when it came time to clean up, I was ready and that went smoothly too.
I even vacuumed up all my heel marks in the carpet with my slip and top on. If any one would have come to the door at that moment and looked in, it would have really been something!
Best to all. Enjoy the day. I'll be enjoying a fresh new snowfall here in Chicago.
