I went out Friday night to Inn Exile. I hadn't been there in a while and was very nicely greeted. I was warmed by all the kind comments.

As I was talking to a guy I hadn't seen in a month or more the guy sitting next to him looked at me and asked, "Are you a real girl?" Well I just couldn't resist and walked up to him and in my deepest voice said, "Honey, I'm more girl than you'll ever meet." He looked at me sort of confused. Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

 Julie you have some of the best adventures just goes to show what happens when you are out versus sitting on your butt at home.

Julie, I love that response! It's just the kind of reply I would probably make.

i bet he is still thinking that over.... cool.........

So am I!

"More girl than you'll ever meet...." but he just met you, didn't he? I am so dumb sometimes. But, at least I got the point of the story, that you didn't back down or apologize for who you are. Go Julie! Represent!

Way to go Julie. I have a neice that would have done the same thing. I have seen her freak out people on the phone by lowering her voice, so it sounds more male. He'll never know if you are or not.
