I hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl yesterday. Me? I had the opportunity to have a wonderful lunch with Maria (member of this forum) who was on her way to Florida and stopped by for a visit. It is wonderful to actually meet a real person from here, and even better to spend time with supportive, like minded people.

But today - I had my first laser treatment to rid myself of the beard. So far so good, I will let everyone know how it goes.

Came back home and checked the mail, and my voice training software arrived today. Yay! Time to get busy working on the voice I want.

But here's the best part - I had my first session with a gender therapist today. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders! I was both anticipating this first session and at the same time wondering what would happen, and now all I can think of is really getting on with my journey.

I am so glad I finally took this step, and I owe that in a big way to the support I have had from many of you here. Thanks so much, and wish me luck!

I am happy to hear about your great day. My first visit to my GT was absolutely amazing, it was like walking out a different person. I hope it keeps getting better for you.

Geeeeze Michelle you had a busy day, I'll be interested to see how your beard removal go's, and the time you spend with your therapist will be time well spent, I know the feeling it's been 6 years since I saw mine, but it was the guiding light that set me on the path to finally accepting who I am, enjoy Jenni

Honestly, I discovered that my pain tolerance is higher than I thought. It wasn't that bad, so now I think I'll go all the way and get an epilator for the legs and arms!

Thank you, and to everyone, for the words of encouragement! The visit to the therapist was the best thing I have done for myself in years.

Hun,

one note of caution. An eppi's pain is way different than lasar. it takes a few times using one to get even a little comfortable using it. LOL
