My SO has always been supportive and accepting of this part of me, but deep down I always felt like she was just "putting up" with me and my feelings about this despite the fact hat she has never said anything negative about dressing. All she has ever asked for is that I maintain a sense of balance and be the man she fell in love with when she needs me to be that man.

I've always been waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop; I've never been a person to whom good things happened or lasted very long. My SO is the best thing that has ever happened in my life and we've been together 8 years and are getting married in July. But I've still always had that feeling of imminent doom lurking in the back of my mind.

She came back from a business trip recently and told me she had a present for me. She usually brings back little tacky gift shop things or t-shirts, nevr anything serious.

But this time she handed me a small box and when I opened it, there was a ring engraved with the female name she picked for me (from these people http://ringmaster.biz/). She asked me to wear it all the time, regardless of how I was dressed.

For the first time, I really felt complete. I just cried.

That is really cool! I would have probably done the same thing if my wife gave me something like that. You are truely lucky to have someone like that.

Cherish it and her and continue to keep the balance ,that being a big mistake that I made in my relationship when a little acceptance was shown.

no one can tell you the real future. But trust in the one you love does make life easier no matter what happens. Trust is also sharing the truth and truth is not always what we want to hear. People change and that change can effect others. Be honest with yourself and her. Then you can both deside what is correct for both of you. To be together or not. Some SO's will stay with there husbands even after srs. some would not even accept the simplest form of femine attire on a male. Life is strange and scary. But it can be a wonderful trip for both of you when there is love trust and understand.

That is awesome. It's a huge sign that she's comfortable with who you are for her to buy you a gift that encourages your girl side.

Isn't it funny how one simple gesture can make your life feel so much more complete. And this could be a $2.00 ring, but it is the though that counts and the fact that she had a Fem name on it for you. Well that just goes over the top.
