Last night my better half and I picked up one of our daughters and drove her to the airport for a flight to LA. After dropping my daughter off for her flight, on the return trip home I asked my spouse as I do, what was on her agenda for tomorrow. The first thing she stated was that she was overdo and going to make an appointment for a manni and pedi at a new salon that she had visited for there grand opening in December.
Now she has been trying to get me in for the Salon experience for going on four years and for whatever reason it was not important then. Guess what I was thinking like a guy! So now that I am growing as a crossdresser it seemed important and my reply to her was to make an appointment for both of us as a personnal Valentines gift.
Our appointment was set for 1:45PM today and when we arrived we were both greeted warmly by the owner who is a lovely Korean lady. She escorted us over to where the OPI polish is lined up and asked us to pick out our polish. I was amazed to be treated so casually in this temple of pink since I was dressed as my self and not as Michelle and the only male in the shop. My spouse picked her color and than nonchalantly asked me what color I would like to chose. This was a comical moment because she was serious when asking me this question. Remember this was my initial visit to a nail salon for a deluxe nail makeover. I chose to go with a clear polish this time but next time it wil be a pretty seasonal color. All in all it was a fun and learning experience and a great day shared with the woman in my life. The best part of the treatment was getting rubbed down with a OPI body scrub which makes your skin so soft. I am definitely purchasing some this week for the both of us.
On the drive home I commented what a great time I had and that I can get addicted to this type of pampering. She looked at me and smiled and said I told you so!
