NYC Transformation Studios

Can anyone recommend a good transformation studio in NYC? I have heard wonderful things about FemmeFever outside of the city, but I was hoping to find one in Manhattan or Brooklyn for a makeover and pics prior to joining some girls for a night out.

I was not at all impressed by Femme fever. Very disappointing!! The used to be a place in Brooklyn, the woman within?? Or something similar. Miss Vera's finishing school is in Manhatten but it sounds a bit pricy and contrived. I have had much better results from a good hair and makeup studio/salon.
