View Full Version : A Pleasant Dream

It's been a long time since I had a pleasant deam of any kind, but last night I had a dream which left me feeling warm and fuzzy (okay no fuzz as I have been keeping up with my hair removal.) Warm and silky smooth all over.

So my dream began simple enough and it was all in first person as seen through my eyes....I was walking through a crowd of people, who were strangers to me.
The gathering was large and crowded in places…I remember having to constantly step aside and say excuse me. People would look into my face and smile pleasantly and respond with, Good Evening, Hello etc…Pleasantries were exchanged.
The ceiling in the room was very high and this only serves to convince me that in my dream I was at some type of large event. One side of the building was lined with 10 ft high windows which were nearly blacked out as it was dark outside. All around the place were pieces of artwork; statues and a tall white marble fountain was located in the middle of the room where it gurgled and could be heard over the classical music being played by a String Quartet. It was reminiscent of my favorite piece by Vivaldi, part of the Four Seasons.
I remember looking across the room and seeing this statue which even in my dream just looked like a shapeless blob…Growing curious I decided that I had to make my way over to it and see what exactly it was. I again had to traverse the room and each time I passed someone they would say Good Evening, Hello...well you get the idea anyway.
I finally arrive to the other side of the room and find the statue is sitting on the opposite side of the room with the high glass windows…I walk up to look at the statue and even close up it is still just a blob, a faceless mass, it reminded me of an old piece of chewing gum which has been just casually tossed away. I stand there for what seems like an eternity study it from every angle and a commotion behind me draws my attention and I turn to see that someone has dropped a glass of Champagne and broken a glass on the marble floors.
As I go to turn back a reflection in the windows behind me catches my eye and as my come into focus I see that I am staring face to face with a beautiful woman. She is wearing a deep plum colored mid length dress which hangs just below her knees. She has on black hose and a pair of matching plum colored suede leather heels and a black belt around her waist. Her hair is a dark Auburn color and is styled up and pulled back from her face, which is great because I can see that her make up is nearly perfect. She has on a pair of gold earrings which match a bracelet she has dangling from her left wrist and around her neck on a thin chain hangs a small gold crescent moon. The length of the chain is just such that the moon has nestled itself just at the top of her voluptuous breasts.
I find myself mesmerized by this woman and I look around to see where she is standing and when I don’t see her anywhere around me I walk closer to the window for a better vantage point. I remember in the dream the woman began walking towards the same point as was I and as I grew closer, despite the obvious changes to her body…I began to see that the reflection in the window was me.

Pretty obvious to me that this dream was about finally having the physical me...the one Isee in the mirror finally matching up to the one who lives inside my head.

I am curious as about others interpretations as well.

Guess we will have to see what the therapsit has to say about it this week.

A nice dream Wendy. Can I wish you many more like that girl.

Sandy, I read somewhere that eating cheese before bed helps you to dream.
I have ½ pound of mature cheddar in the fridge. I will get stuck in tonight and go to sleep thinking of Sophia Loren.

Sweet dreams, SUZY

Wow! Makes me wonder! Perhaps I should become a Greenbay Packer fan! Sorry I couldn't resist! I've heard that too about cheese and dreams!

Actually for dinner I had a 8 ounce piece of boiled chicken and 1/2 cup of white rice with Ice Tea. Ever since this gurl decided to go and take therapy...she has been on a diet....Having lost 24 lbs since just after the 1st of December 2010...I am hoping to start getting things back under control in my life.

Ah Suzy,

I fell in love with Sophia Loren when I was a teenager. Unfortunately she did not reciprocate. Prior to that it was Ava Gardner, but I ditched her for Sophia. LOL. Eventually I ditched them all for my beautiful wife. She's aware of my past loves.LOL
