At my last Therapsit appointment the therapist made it a point to tell me that if I felt more copmfortable coming in dressed that he would like to meet me as Wendy...I said calmly that Yes, that would be nice...but inside I was screaming He%& Yes!
I have to admit though...I am nervous now and I don't know what to wear. I was to appear conservative but feminine. I told my wife about it and was suprised when she told me I could borrow anything I could find in her closet.
It is supposed to be fairly warm...like 55 degree's F but we are expecting Thunder Storms with heavy rain. I am thinking stick with my Arizona Jeans and maybe a nice Tee Shirt with my black Mary Jane Flats... Or should I go with my long peasant skirt...It is black with a sequined pattern sewn into it along with a sage green blouse. I have several sweatr in Navy, Black or White...Wish I had the camera here so I could post some pics.
Can't believe I am this nervous about it and the appointment is still four days away.
Help Please....

Wendy, if it was me and I knew we were expecting rain I would go with the jeans, the flats and a sweater ( I love sweaters. If it didn't get so hot here I would wear them all year long). I'm sure you will look great in whatever you wear

Pick something that is both moderately conservative ( not something that's nightclub wear ) & shows you in your fully femme state.

I see a therapist regularly, and she is fine with me dressing femme at appointments. I've worn a business suit once, a plain long-sleeve dress a couple of times, and a couple of times mid-calf length floral printed skirts with plain silky blouses. Always with nylons and heels.
I'd say wear what you would wear to go to a business appointment that day.

I guess the French Maid outfit is out of the question, huh? Listen, you’ll have many opportunities to add your personal style in future visits, so let your comfort level dictate the outfit for your first visit en femme. Good luck.

Business casual would be appropriate.
If you don't know what this is, ask your wife or go shopping. Tell the SA you need a business casual outfit and you don't know what it is. She will help you. Do you really need an excuse to get another outfit?

Business casual would be good for your first appointment en femme. However, there are lots of options in that too. If it were me, I almost always lean toward a nice looking calf or ankle length skirt! I love skirts and dresses though, so that's just my opinion!

It doesn't matter what you wear, as long as you are comfortable. Since you don't have pics, you could ask your wife what she thinks looks good on you? Whenever I'm undecided about what do wear, I don't hesitate to ask the people close to me. On different occasions I've asked my SO, girlfriends if they were around ... and in a pinch, even my teenage sons! :)
But ... if you ask, be prepared to hear the answers. LOL. I was discomfited to hear once that my two youngest sons hated my new blingy purse!

What's the point of wearing jeans if one wants to be a crossdresser?

I think the jeans is a must for foul weather. Paired with a cute tunic and some nice shoes, you can both look and feel quite girly!

My goal in my dressing daily is to blend in as best as possible...I want to be a passable female in public and he day I am able to walk into any shop, store or public building and be accepted as a Female will be te best day of my life...A lofty goal for sure and one that may never fully come true, but it is my goal to be sure.
Winter time in Missouri like many of the cold weather states means Jeans, sweaters and jackets.
I do like to dress as Feminine as I can without drawing to much attention to myself...I love skirts and dresses as much as the next gurl but after losing every item of my wardrobe in the Tornado, right now my choices are somewhat limited.
Since it is supposed to be in the 50's with rain....I am going to wear my green Capri's with a very nice tee and a sweater , along with my mary jane flats.
Thanks everyone I do appreciate your input and I will post here how my next appointment goes....
Oh and JustWendy...No, I don't think my maid uniform would be the right choice...at least for now...(-:

Like the other girls have said keep it tasteful and casual. but also keep in mind that you are not dressing for the therapist, you are dressing for you. Its about making you more comfortable and better able to express your thoughts and feelings. I have found that my sessions dressed are very different from my sessions in drab. Good luck (-:

Wendy, just try and dress as the beautiful woman you are. Try not to overdress. Be conservative, but spend as much time as possible on your makeup, showing you wonderful feminine presentation

After giving some thought to why I feel nervous I have determined that it's not because I am going to my therapist for the first time...I have been out ad interacted with people on many occasions....I just want to look well put together. This is the man with the Rx pad and who will be determining in the near future if the rest of my life will be happy or the same continued misery....
I think being a little nervous is a good thing....Right?????

Yes :) If you weren't nervous, it wouldn't be an important decision.

Hi Wendy,
Your on the right track, I think you want to convey to your therapist that your comfortable in your presentation. And being well put together will go a long way to that end.
My therapist gave me a copy the HRT recommendation letter she sent to the endo I was going to see. She mentioned in the letter that he would find me to be very comfortable in my chosen gender.
BTW my first visit to my therapist I wore a skirt suit and heels, I know it's a little over kill. I dress little more casual now. Good luck on your journey!

Please do not let the therapist dictate how you will feel for the rest of your life- happy or in continued misery. I would hope his goal is to help you not to live in 'misery.' If your wife is accepting of you feminine side, that is more validation than any therapist can give you. My personal opinion.
As what to wear, whatever your inner self suggests. I'd leave the maid outfit (very cute) and the vacuum home unless he wants to give you a discount for cleaning his office.

Thanks everyone for your comments and help....It is greatly appreciated. I would However like to address comments made about about the Maid in this picture. yes, it is me from about four years ago. No, I don't like doing windows either, but I havefrom time to time.
This Pic was taken during another time in my life when I sought out Female acceptence through contact with Dominant Females in the local BDSM community. I have come to realize that this wasn't healthy contacts for me as most of the women I did come in contact with didn't so much accept me and my need to dress as they tolerated me.
Well at on time their tolerance was all I thought I wanted and so was an acceptable substitute and seemed better than nothing at all...thats not so much the case anymore.
The picture was actually taken by my wife...and while her accepence has been shaky at times....when this picture was taken we were in a good place within out marriage, our relationship and our understanding of how my Female persona..Wendy the Maid fit into our home. I Love that Pic...and still have a real fetish for French Maid Costumes...it makes me smile to see the attention I have garnered here by posting it.....

Well in the midst of the craziness of everyday life I have had a change of heart...a girl can change her mind right?
I wasn't very happy the last time I tried on my Arizona skinny jeans as I had lost some weight and they just didn't seem to fit right around the waist. Today I said heck with it and tossed them in the washer and washed them in hot water....Then I dried them on a high heat setting and ran them through twice. After I pulled them out I tried them on and wow, they fell very good, looked very good too...The first thought that raced through my mind was Uh Oh better jump on the scale, But, Nope! I have actually dropped another pound in the last three days. I decided I am going to wear these jeans since it supposed to rain with my black sweater top and to dress them up a little to heck with the flats or sandals...I am going to wear my black patent pumps. I love my heels anyway and haven't worn them out of the house but the once. I alo have borrowed a Black Nylon Shell Nike Jacket which I will throw on if it is raining and the rest of my time I am going to spend on my hair and make up...I am starting to feel excited about going now...Thanks to everyone here.
I may actually be able to get some pics on that day as well...I will try and post if I do. I need a new one for my profile anyway.

You should wear them around the house for a few hours first to see if they stretch back. The fibers in jeans do tighten in the wash, but if they have any elasticity content, it doesn't last. Or, you could wear a belt.
My jeans are always falling off. I hate this. :p

Black patent pumps are so girly and can dress up anything without be too dressy if you don't want to be. Good choice. Anyone else besides me happy white pumps and pink pumps season is just around the corner?

I've noticed reading through your posts that in a very feminine way, you've changed your mind about what to wear several times! :heehee:Wear what is most comfortable to you and helps you to express your feminine self - good luck!

I have changed my mind several times you are so right about that. As for the jeans stretching I am sure they will, but bought a new belt which look's very nice with them...And yes I love black patent pumps, they have always been one of my favorite choices.
