Tomorrow is all about indulgence

My wife will be traveling for a week, so I have a comprehensive girly day lined up. After dropping her off at the airport I pick up my long wig from the salon where it's being reconditioned. Then a facial. Then to the day salon for hair coloring and styling (been growing my hair for 4 months; own hair this week, wig next week). To the nail salon for red toes and French fingers (been growing my nails for a month). Then it's dressing time; form-fitting LBD with Jessica Simpson stillettos and Bershire ultrasheer nylons. Off to the MAC counter at the mall where my pal Laila will doll me up. I pass pretty well (at least in my own mind) so off to dinner in an upscale (yeah, darkly lit) restaurant.

Wow sounds like an awesome week. How can you stand the anticipation and excitement?

Wow, what a day. Facial was lovely, then two hours with my stylist including color, thinning my hair so it would hold a curl, and styling. Two hours with my manicurist who gave me her special pedicure for my birthday :-) Picked up my restyled 10 year old wig - wow, better than new! Then a full two hours with Sue Lee at MAC (Laila was ill) who made me gorgeous (in my own eyes, anyway). Made reservations for dinner over the phone and got "sirred" a couple of times, but got "ma'amed" dozens of times at the restaurant; gotta love the dim lighting. Went back to the mall to share with Sue Lee. Saw, tried on, and immediately bought an LBD that had caught my eye during my makeover.
