Just bought several new dresses and lots of lingerie from VS and Venus. The anticipation prior to arrival is intense. The shopping is still thrilling for me. Am I unique?

The thrill of shopping has stayed with me now for 40 years! And I hope it never goes away! In fact I'm planning on going lingerie shopping today! What a thrill!

Oh, ya gotta love the thrill of shopping, whether it's in person or online. And yes, when I buy online the wait for arrival is sometimes unbearable, but always exciting.

Gotta agree on this one! Shopping is horribly addicting. Even ordering, I am usually stuck looking at the picture of what I ordered over and over again waiting for it to arrive.

As it was said,"the shopping is still thrilling fro me". I guess that explains why the average CD has 57 pairs of panties, 24 bras, 18 camis, 12 blouses, 9 dresses, 6 skirts, and a partridge on a shoe tree. Oh, I forgot, 86 pairs of shoes. Little wonder why women like to shop, it is way more fun.

Fore me it’s when the postman knocks on my door and he has a parcel. I know it’s that dress I ordered but I am just going off to work.
It makes the day seem longer but as I drive home the anticipation starts to build.
Life is just a whole lot of fun girls.

I'm another, I have taken stock in all I have bought over the last few years, and I find it hard to come up with ways to justify anything else. Not that I'm that bad, but I stopped counting blouses after I passed 50, and I don't mean my age. Now I spend my time looking for foundation garments, and other body shapers, I have some, but at least it's not as extensive as my outerwear collection. And when I can't buy, I window shop. I keep a file in by browser favorites, called on line mall, and it's filled with shopping sites, I use them a lot, even at 67 I've never lost the thrill of a great shopping trip, my wife loved them even before she knew I wanted that stuff too, I just loved being able to spend time shopping in the womens section, and it didn't matter who it's for. Last month we sold off a lot excess clothing we had both collected over the years, so we thinned out that stuff that was way to small, and we figured we would never be able to wear. Selling cheap, like a dollar a garment, we made over $300, gave the rest to the cancer society thrift store, and we became their favorite benefactor, when I opened the side door of my van and started filling up there store room with bags and bags of clothes (most of it mine). It was fun at the sale watching women grab up my hand me downs, as the best thing they found, and telling my wife what good taste she has.

Oh, I've found away to get back to shopping, I've started a diet, and have lost 16 lbs. so far, I've dropped a size already in some styles! Life is good once again!

There is always a thrill shopping for my femme clothes. I don't do any catalog shopping and the only on line shoping I do is on craigslist. I find a lot of good bargains from private sellers and the thill is when I tell them that the clothes are for me. When I go to any store to shop there is always the thrill of the hunt, then the trying on, and finally taking home my newly purchased clothes or lingerie and wearing them.

Shopping is fun, but the wearing is definitely better.

Shopping is fantastic. Renne has a great time going through all of the sites. Not brave enough to do a craigslist or even live at a store, although I might give the local trift store a shot in the next day or so. I have to perge some of the "it looked like it would fit" clothes and the rest is all charity.

The only anticipation I ever get is from the time I spy it on the rack to the time I try it on in the fitting room.... 2 minutes.... But if you add all the times up its probably weeks worth per year! Lol.

Indeed the anticipation is as exciting as the actual find while shopping, online for myself any way.
I recently took the plunge - after so many years of waffling - and placed three separate online purchases from different stores. They are all custom fit cd dress shops and I am pretty pumped about the entire thing. Browsing the sites was very exciting and thinking of future purchases a bit dizzying. I have already received one order - a lovely turquoise satin Victorian maid dress with matching satin bloomers and a long white satin apron. It felt divine trying it on, zipping it up and actually having the dress fit rather well. I am truly on edge waiting for the remaining two orders.
Hope that all your purchases fit perfectly!

I have a personal rule that when a package comes in I have to wear it within 24 hours. That will make for some anxious moments. You are not alone!

In the days before online package tracking, I overanticipated every day, hoping my order would arrive only to be usually disappointed. Now, I know when my order will arrive, so I don't get overly excited until that day comes. Here's how it usually goes: I get a package pick-up notice in my PO box, pick up the package at the window, and as I walk to the car I decide to put the package in the trunk until I get home. When I get to the car, I change my mind and put the package up front but tell myself I won't open it until I get home. Before I get home I pull into a parking space and open the package. Then I rush home to try the stuff on.

I bought a $200.00 outfit from Club Monaco, in person, and was not going to be able to try it on for 2 whole days! The wait, knowing it was tucked into the trunk of my car was maddening! But finally, here I am safe at home alone and wearing my new outfit :D
Hope you don't have to wait too long!
