Hello,

I have been reading the posts for a while and I finally joined. I felt I should share my first time with all of you, and possibly encourage other people to step out.

It all started with my growing affection for women's shoes. I realized I would take a big step on a trip to Vegas for some training.

When I landed in Vegas I headed straight for the mall and right to payless. When I walked in the store I headed for the mens / womens big shoes isle. A sales associate got ahead of me and asked what I was looking for, when I said I was looking for a pair of high heels she looked puzzled, then asked if I had any style in mind. I told her I was looking for Lela Rosa Pembroke wedges. She was not aware of them, but said I could look around, and ask if I had any questions.

So I looked around and I found them fairly quick. When I slid my feet into them it was great I loved the position they put my feet into. And when I did the ankle straps which were so dainty, yet sexy I didn't think it could get better.

Now I have read many times that I should not get 4" heels for my first pair, but I was dead set on them, plus I figured that I was made for heels the way I walk around the house on the balls of my feet all the time.

Anyhow... When I stood up, WOW I was in love and fully hooked. I walked up and down the isle a couple times, I did not find it too hard to balance, I tried a few other pair of sandals. I then put the Lela Rosa's back on, fastened the ankle strap as tight as it would go so they wouldn't fall off, found a sales associate and told her I would take them and asked if I could wear them out. She said yes. So I went the counter and paid.

The moment the first heel hit the tile outside of the store I realized that the store was carpeted, and these heels were LOUD(at least in my head they were). By the time the second heel hit the tile I was completly addicted to the sound of the heels on the tile, and the feel they had on my feet. However it did not take too long before my little toe started to hurt. And shortly after that the back of my ankle started to hurt.

I made my way to the watch store then to the car, because my feet were hurting, I was so torn I wanted to walk to hear the sound and feel the heels on my feet, but I was developing pain in a few spots.

On my way to the car I stopped to losen up the ankle straps and this helped, but I already was developing a blister.

When I go to the car I cut some of the strap away for my little toe, and off I went to the hotel.

When I checked into the hotel I felt everyone was watching, but I figured this was Vegas and they have seen way more then a dude in heels.

I wore the heels on and off for the rest of my stay and not one person said anything. I had a very good time, even through the pain.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my first time.

Heels are a wonderful thing aren't they? I applaud you for having the courage to buy your heels and actually walk out of the store with them. Please try to remember, carpet and wood floors in the home are much more "giving" than concrete and tile..
