What "events" pique your desires?

Recently a death in the family prompted desires for what to wear to a funeral. I thought about the clothes for the trip out of town, family gatherings, and ultimately the viewing, funeral, and trip to the cemetery. I remembered simple black hat and veils from various movies, and wondered about wearing one.

Other upcoming events almost always put me in mind of what to wear... such as weddings, New Year's, Easter, etc.

What other events have you dressed for, or pondered? (Not really counting Halloween... it's its own thing.)

I can't think of any formal events that I'd be interested in attending en femme, but my wife and I are contemplating a trip to Costa Rica and if we go, I'll be going en femme. So, I'm imagining all the cute beach wear and swim suits that I might wear!

Everytime I have to go somewhere I think what if I could wear (whatever femme clothes fit the occasion) and then I put on my slacks and shirt and leave the house. On those rare times when I get to express myself, I spend way more time trying to figure out what to wear than I ever imagined.
