Unexpected Compliments

Last night was dance party night for my ballroom dance club.

I was wearing my black and white stripped referee's shirt, over new turquoise leggings from Target, and tall stiletto ankle boots.

My surprise was that women were approaching me, through the evening, to say how much they liked my new, and much shorter, blond hair cut.

I had thought the new leggings were what people would notice, and instead it was my haircut.

I'm sure they noticed but were afraid to say anything there will be other nights.

Many times people won't say what they really mean! I really like your hair, means I can't believe those leggings your wearing!

Hey, it is relatively well known that in a Goth club if someone compliments your boots by saying "nice boots" it actually means "You are hot...let's F***" Sometimes compliments mean entirely something else....which makes life that much more and unnecessarily complicated.
