So I walk into the Social Security office today to have my name change done. The first thing that you have to do is check in with the security guard at the front door. I as approach the guard I see that there is a man in front of me, I make eye contact with the guard and the guard ask the man is this your wife. The man looks back at me and says no my wife is parking the car. I would have to say that this is the first time that I have been accused of being somebody’s wife.

4 months ago just defore the 1 yr on HRT my daughter was in an accident an 1 kid broke a jaw bone. As I was at the hospital with my wife talking to one of the passengers, my daughters age about 17 asked if I was her grandmother, LOL I just didnt hesitate an said no im her father. Bet that was a shock to her. Afterwards I could see how she said that cause I am 38 yrs older than my daughter, didnt think my wife looked that young LOL.

Well, that's fun. ...I see some of my past photos and think yuck and I see some (very few) where I look feminine. I still can't get over the reactions some people have when I have gone out... generally I get surprised responses if I let people know, otherwise...maybe most of the time I'm just an ugly chick and a very few sometimes okay looking... I know a lot is in the mind (there's and mine). Anyway...you look really good so I don't believe you that its the first!

One time a number of years ago my wife and I were walking through antiques stores. I was wearing jeans, a long t-shirt, and my thick hair was bushy. As we entered one store the lady at the desk said, "Hi ladies, let me know if you need any help." That caused my wife to do a slow burn but I was smiling as I walked ahead of her. Leanne

your story reminds me gretchen of when i was waiting in line for a soft pretzel behind a man... a woman was serving him and an add came up on the radio for football season, and the guy turned to me and said loudly..."Sorry girls, it's football season!!"..i didn't tell him that i was a linebacker when i played..

I know how good it feels when you get this sort of affirmation, but I believe that a female nurse paid me the greatest compliment last year when I was in hospital with my gall bladder problem. It started from my tummy being really swollen from lots of fluid & the inflammation from my gall bladder, so I could have easily been mistaken as being pregnant. Anyway I was sitting outside when this female nurse turned around and asked me "How long did I have to go before my baby was due to be born?".

it's funny but for me its a little annoying from time to time. Like ordering at fast food places if I am holding my daughter the people take my order and asks what my little girl wants, and then gives me a total. Like not even realizing I could be with the girl behind me lol.. I also love the Sisters one we get that a lot. The funny things is that up here there are so many same sex couples it funny that some people just dont see the connection lol
