What is the one thing...

...that completes your transformation when you get dressed up. I realized a couple of years ago that it was the little pinky ring I wear. Of course I do the makeup, wig, forms, padded hips, etc and all of that is needed. But that little pinky ring for some reason just completes it for me. I've even gone out occasionally forgetting to put it on and when I notice I'm not wearing it I'm a bit disappointed.

Do you all have anything like that?

For me it is putting the lipstick on. That is the last thing I do to complete my transformation. I also have a favorite set of little gold rings that also fit on my pinky finger. I normally always use then when wearing gold jewelry and they give me that same special feeling that you describe.

For me it is eyeliner and mascara. Putting the makeup on my eyes just makes me feel the most feminine.

It's all about the hair for some reson. Even though I wear wigs en-drab, (sholder lenth, 80's rocker) my realy long fem wigs complete me. However I also feel naked without hose and heels, but I also have versions of those I pull off in drab to.

Has to be makeup with probably lippie the defining thing. Putting the eye liner and eye shadow and mascara on makes me believe i am looking at some one different inthe mirror and then the lipstick completes it - oh for a very rare day when i can dressup again

Wig. That is really what determines what style I am shooting for. When I first put on my cosplay wig THAT was when all the hard work for the costume and getting the makeup just right came to its ultimate conclusion. The first time I put the wig on with makeup, I closed my eyes, and put it on, and the when I opened my eyes for a hair of a second staring back at me was Mana himself. It was shocking to say the least.

Since then everytime I dress up either androg for a goth outing or when I did full on cding I close my eyes before putting which ever wig I am wearing, that is when the transformation from my standard male goes to my true exotic self.

After setting my hair and putting on the jewelry the last step is painting my nails by putting on the base coat, then the color and finally the top coat it completes everything and my evening or day begins.

I always do my lipstick last. I blot it with a tissue and then I'm done. There just seems to be something very feminine about finishing with that lip print on a tissue.

For me its a mental shift that takes place; Just very relaxing hard to explain.
But at that point the clothes or makeup dont matter as much.
It usually happens during makeup, If there was one item Id have to go with the wig as a finishing touch.

Any one of several things that, if omitted, would kill the mood. Like a wig, fake eyelashes, or high heels, which I can't wear without pantyhose/stockings. Since the last thing I put on, every time, is lipstick, I'd say it would be that. When I know I'm going to be alone away from home (like in a hotel room), perfume sends me over the top.
