just had to share this somewhere:
today I got my first shot of estrogen and i took my first spiro pill. i'm currently learning to self medicate through callen-lorde medical center here in nyc.
i also submitted my name change request to the transender legal defense and education fund office, who are providing me with a lawyer to negotiate that process.
and it was the last meeting of my trans-femme support group at the gender identity project here in nyc... i met so many great young transwomen and made some lasting friendships.
i just feel so grateful for all of the opportunities there are for us trans people here in nyc, and for my own friends and all of the wonderful people who are supporting me.
i decided to transition beginning january 1st, and things have just taken off so much more quickly than i ever imagined... it's finally happening!
