Being an old bloke now and having spent most of my youth and young adulthood in the sun, surfing, fishing, working etc and living in Melanoma capital of the world "Queensland" Australia, please remember to cover up with a good sun lotion with a good UV factor. Enjoy the sun but please, play it safe and cover up.

You are very lucky.
Temp 33, wind blowing at a steady 25 MPH with gusts into the 40's
Rain all day, with sleet now and then.
Yep, no sun tanning today, just refrigeration.

Watch out for those North Carolina tornadoes! You would want to have your top ripped off. In my neck of the woods, I had to scrap ice of my windshield this morning. Spring? Bah, humbug!

My wife isn't crazy about the very specific lines that are left after spending time in the sun with my cami on, even with spf 30+. It seems that the spring skin is so much more susceptible to UV than later in the year.

Bobbie Sue, I'm with you! I'm staying at my sister's place in the woods of NC for a month to do some writing. She's living with her fiance, so her little house was pretty much vacant. She offered it to me and I jumped at the chance.
It's a cozy little place with a private, sunny back deck facing the woods. One of the rewards i give myself for being a diligent writer is taking a tanning break on the deck in my super cute Ujena bikini. ;-D Yay!
I brought the VS bikini with me that I used last year, but the Ujena suit is smaller in the cups (which I now fill out nicely) and more proportional for me in the bottoms. I just like it better.
And I just LOVE the tan lines I'm getting! My sister has known I'm tg/cd/ts for a while now and is warming up to it more and more. She's been giving me makeup tips, asking my opinion on shoes n clothes, and just generally being a very cool little sister. She's never seen me blatantly dressed though, always just in sort of stealth mode, and has still been slow in some ways to wrap her head around it. (Heck, who can blame her? I still have challenges with it sometimes!)
So a couple days ago she came over and took a nap. I laid out during my usual brief sun time, knowing she might rouse herself while I was there. Sure enough, I heard the door open and her little dog came out to get petted. I didnt even open my eyes, just let her take her time absorbing what she was seeing.
After a couple minutes of quiet, all she said was, "You're starting to get red," then said she was heading out. Well, I wasn't sure how she took seeing her big brother in a bikini, but I also wasn't too worried about it either.
She shows up the next day and gives me one of her t-shirts she thought I might like. I tried it on and she said, "Hey that looks good on you! But you might want to put something on underneath it if you're going to wear it out." (I was a little pokey at the time.) I think her acceptance meter just moved a bit further into the Awesome range!
I love my sister! And I love laying out in my bikini. Yay, tan lines!
~Rachel
p.s. She's also got a hot tub on the deck. In a bikini, under the stars. Mmm, yum.

Bobbie, I am only eleven miles away from you and yes it is very hot here today. 84 degrees tomorrow too. I can't lay out tomorrow, because of a b-day party.

I bet you didn't tan a whole a lot this past winter unless it was in doors:D I think it was the coldest winter I have ever seen in Florida since the freeze of 1978.

WITHOUT sunscreen, that is!
I grew up on the beaches of SoCal BEFORE sunscreen was invented! Now, I go in EVERY 6 months to have my latest skin cancers and pre-cancers cut and burned off!
And remember, even if you're LUCKY and DON'T get skin cancer, by the time u youngsters get to be my age, you'll have LIZARD SKIN! YUCK!!

Tan......I wish!!!
I was born a redhead, and at age 78 I still sunburn like any redhead. Sunscreen does not do much for me, so I usually just keep covered up. And I live in Georgia, U.S.A., where we get a lot of sunshine! Oh well!!!

MicaylaYou mean 32F or 0C yes? -32F is a bit unlikely. Where I'm at is -6C this morning, that's bad enough.
True to my name, when I sunbathe, i use just the bikini bottoms, ones that can pass as a brief speedo. Gonna be at least a month probably.

Been there, done that, got the lizard skin.
Decades of outdoor activity in short sleeve shirts have given me permanently-tanned arms with freckles, age spots, and what I can only describe as an "interesting" texture. Under my sleeves the skin is pale and smooth.
Unfortunately, this makes me look odd in sleeveless or cap-sleeve tops and dresses since I have two or three inches of pale skin showing above my darker arms.
I'd really like to figure out a way to fade the freckles, but I'm afraid that the condition is permanent.
