My wife tells me that when I dress in male mode I could care less about how I look. She says that when I dress in fem mode I'am just the opposite. She says I take my time in preparing myself from head to foot. I shave my legs and face and after showering I put on a nice smelling lotion. I take my time with my makeup and all my fem cloths are very classy looking. I may not pass as a women but I take pride in looking the best I can. There is nothing in this world that makes me feel any better than when I'am dressed in fem.:)

It is great that your wife takes notice and I guess supports you. A wonderful place to be.

My wife never approved of my dressing but she used to comment on how ratty I looked when I dressed for work. My comment to her was I didn't have to impress anybody at work and my clothes would be dirty at the end of the day, so why should I care? However I'm very meticulous when it comes to my female personna, I take the time to do it right and look my best like any self respecting lady would.

Perhaps this thread needs a better title? The comments so far seem to be focusing on how the SO perceives male mode dress vs. female mode dress.

My wife told me yesterday that I have no style. She's aware of my CDing, but knows very little about it. We haven't talked much about it. Hopefully soon, and then she'll she just how much style I really have :)

This would apply to me before I had "the talk" with my wife. Since then I've somewhat improved my male mode appearance. Enough so, in fact, that a couple of my work colleagues have commented on it to my wife! For some reason they haven't commented to me, though!

Men's clothes are just something to wear for the most part and very utilitarian so i usually just throw them on and don't care how it turns out. Always been that way. Women's clothes are about looking good and I get very fussy about how I look. It seems more important to look good when I am dressed in femme.

I have to saw that I am the same. Don't care much of my male appearance, but really pay attention in female mode.

I care either way. I like fashion no matter what.

I probably should've been a designer -_-;, it rated high on my career aptitude test in high school.

This is so true... I am very glad my wife accepts me foir who I am... She even encourages my dressing and escorts me in public with understanding, support and lots of love. Our shopping trips are the greatest fun, games and laughs!
