On Thursday of this week I was in Madison and decide after the VA Clinic that we should do a little shopping. I had looked up to see where the MAC stores were in the city and decided to stop and check it out. The store we went to was in a Macy's along with about 6 other make up shops. My SO and I were just checking things out when the sales girl came over to chat. She asked my SO if she like to be a little lighter or darker, and than I spoke up and told her that I was the one who was interested. She told me to have a seat and let us see what we can do. I was very cleaned shaved since I had wanted to do this if I had the guts. She was great! Here I am sitting right there in front of everyone passing by having her put make up on me and showing my SO the different techniques.

She did say that the MAC policy is "age, color, or sex, does not matter, we are here to take care of you". She gave me her busines card and told me to call if I had any problems or questions. I will be back to see her again. Her name was Heather. If you go that way, stop and see her. :)

MAC has always been VERY VERY supportive of all people. As a matter of fact the MAC Aids Fund gave the program I ran with the state of Florida $10,000 dollars in a grant to do HIV prevention targeting trans people. Thats how supportive they are. MAC rocks!!!!!!!!!!

I think that having a beautiful woman work on your face is one of the greatest experiences in life. A bra fitting is another great experience that every CD should have.
Did I say "a" bra fitting as in only one. Should have said one for each type of bra.

Hey LisaDee, I went to the Macy's store in the Hilldale Shopping center. The girls name was Heather and she is the manager. I am debating about going back to see her in a couple of weeks. I have to go back to Madison and thinking that I should drop by her in femm to have her do a little make up job.

Two weeks ago I was brave enough to ask for help at the Mac counter in St Laurent shopping center in Ottawa,Canada.Wow what an experience, the lovely Asian girl did my eye's for me .She did say to drop by anytime as she has many regulars like me.I was dressed in girls jeans and a nice blouse but basically hidden under a large zipper sweater. What a rush for the rest of my day knowing I sparkled.

A few years ago while on a business trip to Vegas I had an hour long makeup lesson at a MAC store. The makeup artist that gave me my lesson said that all of the MAC stores, and many of the MAC counters located in department stores, have artists that have recieved training and MAC certification in dealing with the specific needs of transgenders.

They not only have great service, but fantastic podust as well.

I have found Mac, Sephora, and Ulta are very Trans friendly. I do love to get a makeover :). For you girls with a beard yet, know some do not really do a good job in covering the beard. That is because very few women have beards but the look they can give you is worth the trip.
