Second pregnant man, or second pregnant man in the media? My bf (ftm) and I have been talking, and he wants to have a child naturally if we can, but he doesn't want to get involved with the media and all that crap. The media might catch wind once he's in the hospital... but he doesn't want to feed the press anything...

First off, my apologies that the article is actually about a year old. When I saw it in the "Popular Links" section of a newspaper I did not expect that "popular" would include items from large numbers of months ago.

Secondly, Bree, you are correct that it is more a media affection than a real "second". See for example this earlier post (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?147386-Anyone-See-the-TV-Show-quot-Transgendered-amp-Pregnant-quot) about a documentary about an (ex-) member here.

My immediate reaction about how to handle the media was to think "Hmmm, you could go to another country where you aren't known", but unfortunately that would have implications for the citizenship of the child, and might have medical cost implications. Unfortunately people do gossip, and these days it only takes one twitter to possibly get significant media attention.
