Personally, I only go out at night with the goal of not being seen. (Know your neighborhood before trying this at home!)

Wow, you're brave. I've never been out en femme, but I'd love to someday.

I am working on adding to my crossdressing collection. I want to get the look down perfectly. My wife is out of town for 2 1/2 weeks in December and I am going to be en femme almost the whole time if I can. I cant' wait. i keep thinking of all the places I want to go and things I want to do.

I love to go out during the dark evenings of winter; I go in my car wearing my panties, tights, bra and top with my trousers and a coat on. I put my skirt and shoes into a bag along with a fem coat and hat. I find a spot and change into my skirt, shoes, hat and coat. I find somewhere to park and then get out and walk around town window-shopping.

I would not pass very close up but I find if I walk as if everything is OK no one takes too much notice. I have walked past two police officers once. One male the other female, mind you I nearly wet myself with fear but the just walked past. I think it is one good thing for being a middle-aged woman not too many people take that much notice of us. The cool wind of a winters evening blowing on my nylon legs and up my skirt is so thrilling I just love it.

I go out as often as I can, which isn't near enough. I work a lot and have trouble finding the time. Last week-end I did get to go shopping with a girlfriend, and my SO and I like to go clubbing when we can.

I voted day&night but it has been a while since I dressed at all, circumstances and stuff. When I used to work alone I would be out&about several times each week. I often passed and sometimes got read by the usual teenage girls. Ahh wonderful times and maybe they will return one day.

I am working up to it.
There have been plenty of tip-offs, that I already feel like I'm out.
But it's bound to happen, maybe Halloween. Are you scared?

Been out day and night dressed! Been shoping at several stores, eaten at different resturants, gambled in several Las Vegas casinos, ridden public transportation, attended a live stage show, been at clubs dancing and having a good time. The point is, if I can do it, ANYONE can. Unless you're going to the neighbor's house to borrow a cup of sugar, what the heck do you care what strangers think! My money spends the same wheather I'm wearing a dress or a pair of slacks. Those whose livelyhood depends on commerce really DON'T CARE... honest!

Never been out of the house yet but I am acquiring a few more sensible clothes etc, so watch this space. My wife is a little nervous about it but appears willing to give it a go. Now winter is approaching perhaps the time is not too far away?

When I was in my teens yeah, no bother.
Now, no way!
I don't want to frighten the horses!
I'm content being in drag at home!
And of course talking to my sisters!
It's lovely to see your chat and pics.

Though I don't get much chance to go out, I will go out in the day but tend to avoid crowded places. I like window shopping in outdoor areas if not too crowded.

LOL Well putting the rubbish out side meant only a walk of 1 yards to the bin and it got boring, so i went on longer missions to the post box. Now i am in my 30s i have been out quite a bit. Mandie loves the idea and is behind me so its looking good.

I run all around Atlanta dressed. Night Clubs, Stores, Malls, Resturants, etc. But dispite that I am deep in the closet...no friends or family from my male life know of me being a Tgirl. (some neighbors have prob figured it out however) So u could say I'm a brave chicken.

I have been out only a few times, but each time I get more comfortable and feel more natural as a woman. It is so wonderful to get dressed and truly feel like "Victoria" and not just a fearful guy in a skirt. My hairdresser has been very impressed and said that I look very good. She has provided encouragement to go shopping, out ot eat, etc. My wife is also feeling like I am looking more natural and passable.

After all the years of hiding and suppressing "Victoria" it feels so special to be out and to be who I am.

This year I'm going to a kids halloween party thrown by a friend of ours. She asked me if I'd be a fortune teller for the kids. I'll be up in a treehouse and hope to not be recognized. I found an adorable ruffled tunic, bought my first bra and a lovely black skirt. My wife and I went jewelry shopping and I found some stretchy bracelets and a few dangly necklaces. No pierced ears for this girl but I found some nice clip-ons. Today is shoe shopping day. Size 12 W yikes. Payless and Penneys here I come. My wife is a Mary Kay lady and has a plan for my make up. Of course the nails will match the lipstick.
Last year was my first year in public - went to the same house as the wicked witch. It was such fun. Halloween is the best!

I go out day and night dressed en femme.

Personally I prefer daytime in a crowded shopping centre, I might get funny looks or people talking behind my back but that doesn't bother me, I am what I am.

When I go out at night (which isn't very often) I tend to stick to the gay areas or places where we are accepted.

I find that there is more chance of someone getting aggressive or violent at night especially when darkness and alcohol are added into the equation.

As for creeping around late at night and taking them first steps in the big world I can understand but after I had come out I was surprised how many people had already seen me creeping around under the cover of darkness and just not said anything to me. as Bobby Vee said the night has a thousand eyes.

All the time. Then again, I'm usually mixing my wardrobe with clothing of males and females anyway.

I picked Day and Night because at one time I did go out during both and I would like to get back to that point. I'm not as sure of myself in the daytime these days, but I do try to keep my chin up as it were. :D

I go out day and night to pretty much any place an ordinary GG would go to: shopping mall, post office, restaurants, movies, bowling, etc. In a couple of weeks our local Tri-Ess chapter has even planned a trip to Zoo Atlanta including an outdoor picnic. I get out at least 2 days every month and usually a few more than that.

I'm adding a rider to my "out at night and don't mind being seen" vote. I went to three local theme balls in the last year. Girlie-dressed to the nines, and no I didn't mind being seen, most people just didn't recognise me...

I go out about 3 times a week. I love it and have a wonderful time meeting new people. Some young married couple had me come home with them last week. It was fun and exciting! Even though I do feel kind of ****ty...oops! LOL

To explain:

Only at night--generally a few hours away from home, after a professional makeover, and to safe venues. But I don't mind if a few others see me--even "civilians"--in fact, it makes it more adventuresome

I love to get on a nice lacey pair of panties and put on a short shirt. I’ll go out where I can be seen, but only at a glance. I love to distract truck drivers when they pass by me on a highway by getting out of my car and leaning in to get something out. My hips roll-up nicely and the pristine white of my panties are sure to catch any eye. As I drive along the highway I have the windows down and my shirt open to feel the cold chill on my nipples.
My hair is long, light brown and curly. My nipples are perky and my hips and buns have a very nice curve to them. Some times I’ll put on a short skirt with a light white blousy chemise, white platform stiletto’s and keep a fair distance from a group of guys.
It is such a turn on to watch them gawk and stare. I do know what you mean by liking to go out in the evening during the winter.
Thanks for sharing your turn-ons

I think that if I had a wig and wore more decent clothing, I could go out on a bicycle during the day as long as I maintain a minimum speed of 15 miles per hour. Or, I could go for a drive during the day - just try not to do too much stop-and-go driving. (I take off my glasses to dress up, but would need to wear them to drive.) If I'm going to be seen in drag, I'm going to start with just a few truck drivers.

Hi,
I've done alot of thinking about going out dressed but have never plucked up the courage to really do it. My best guy friend went out dressed himself once to a gender-bender party just as a joke (I was out of town on that date, so didn't go :( ) but he isn't a CD-er and doesn't know I am. He'd probably accompany me if I went out dressed but I'm still not completely sure. Wouldn't want to possibly end the only close friendship in my life at the moment over my CDing if he did have a negative reaction to it. As he's always dealt with me as another red-blooded young male like himself, seeing me all dressed and dolled up might be uncomfortable for him - even if it doesn't end our relationship. Like someone else said in another post the other day, while dressing might be fun for us, freinds and family are ultimately more important and thus we sometimes need to exercise discretion while pursuing (and enjoying) our hobby.

My two cents,
Best,
Gunda

I didnt vote. Because i do go out very much day or night in la fem. I think the more you go out the less you care of what others think.I like the idea of being dressed up and be out and about having fun XXXXXX

Probably because I was trying to hide a little I used to go out only at night. Times have changed and now I only go out during the day time to do my shopping, etc. But I have to admit it was fun doing the bar scene sometimes.

I'm out and about all the time, It's harder to go out in drab now, it just feels yuck and wrong! I even got ma'amed in drab this afternoon in the local supermarket...

Going to the opticians on Friday as angelic twin sister!

I don't care what people think, i don't have a problem with me, why should i worry if they have a problem?

thing to remember is half the worlds population goes out en femme on a daily basis, why do we get so worked up about it?

All the time, day or night. If I can come up with a reason to go out dressed I will, if I cant come up with a reason and i want to anyways...then I will make a reason (this happens alot lol)

I have been out a couple of times so far en femme. I definitely want to go out more in the future but right now my wife and I are not in agreement about me going out en femme whether we're together or I am by myself. She is extremely worried about something bad happening to me if and when I go out by myself and she doesn't feel like she can "be herself" with me en femme (in public anyway). I am hoping that things will eventually change so as to at least allow me to go out by myself whenever she and the kids are gone for awhile but right now it is in doubt whether or not I will ever be able to go out again. :(

Hi All
I voted day and night But usualy dress in a skirt and top on road trips .It gives me 5 or 6 hours in areas where I am not known to practice passing most strangers do not notice I think the panic reaction if I met someone I know would give me away more than anything else.If i build up my confidence I might be able to risk being seen without being recognised
Hugs Annette:D
