I am curious, has anyone ever had a car that wouldn’t start for them while they were dressed in there night time attire, like a nightie, teddy or robe?

Ahhh. No..... I think the real question is who is driving around in their night gown late at night besides you? Lol.

What happens is I have an old car that I warm up in the morning before work, so I end up going out to start it in the mornings a lot to let it warm up while still in my night clothes while I dress for work. Does that make sense?

Ah, No it doesn't make sense, sounds more like it gives you a thrill doing it. However if that's what floats your boat, go for it... Just keep in mind that there are always consequences for everything we choose to do.

What you are doing for your car makes sense. Why it matters in the least bit what you are wearing at the time or whether your car actually starts in your own driveway doesn't.

I only asked to see if any others have had a similar situation?? By the responses, some have taken it the wrong way. I can see that Karen can relate in some way!

Oh yes one time I went to the Cemetary to visit my parents. When I got back to my car it would not start. At that time I did not have a cell phone, so I had to walk to the main office so I could call AAA. the driver met me at the office and took me to my car and gave me a jump for the car not me. LOL

Oh my hun! Broken down in a cemetary, spookie! How were ya dressed? Did the tow truck driver know??

I’d have to say no it doesn’t make sense. First off I wouldn’t go out to my car (truck) in a nightie or teddy (I don’t sleep in lingerie, my Wife doesn’t like being intimate if I’m wearing feminine attire) , but if she were out of town and I did and the car wouldn’t start I’d go back in the house and call the auto club and then change into something more appropriate, either male or female attire depending on how I wanted to present myself when the person arrived to start my car.

I sleep most of the time wearing satin panties, so no way would I go out to start my car dressed that way. There is nothing wrong with warming up the car, but I would get properly dressed first!! Even if I was wearing a pretty nighty fresh from my bed!!

For me it just has become a natural thing for me in the mornings to get out of bed, slip on my robe and slippers to go out and start the old clunker and let it warm up while I dress for work. I live in a very secluded area, so I don’t have to worry with neighbors

I got run into the in the grocery store parking lot a few weeks ago, but it wasn't too bad. I was wearing Tilt jeans and a ladies t-shirt, and I probably had pantylines showing. I never go too far when I'm going to someplace like the grocery store.

Ahhhh, the next chapter is revealed. It's about some kind of damsel in distress thingy, to be rescued by a knight ... I mean tow truck driver, in shining armor.

Why didn't you say so in the first place???

Well my intent was to find out if there were others that can relate to my predicament with an old car Sara?? Yes- I suppose the tow truck driver at times can be viewed as the "knight in shining armor" huney! I typically don’t need the tow truck, but I have had no choice at times in the past.

I just remember Ricardo Montobon saying it in the comercials!! Lol. You must live in the desert because those things rusted out on the showroom floors. Lol. God I feel old!

Pedal,

Maybe you and I share some similarities....one of the reasons I dress, in feeling more feminine, is in also feeling more vulnerable. I must say, I definitely like the idea of being a damsel in distress with some kind of car trouble :)

I think if it ever happened to me while I was dressed, it would be a totally exhilarating feeling. Not that I'm sure I entirely want it to happen...I'm still a bit closeted, and I think that would definitely out me...but hey, dare to dream right...

I can relate to that! Been outside in my night gown many times jump starting someones car! Once I even repaired a flat tire for a lady while I was wearing a nightgown! By the way! I have no shame!!!!

Never had an issue but if I did I keep spare male and female clothes in a large Tupperware container in my trunk. The main reason has nothing to do with these type of situations but instead there have been times that I simply needed to change i.e. Needed to change because my clothes were dirty or wet etc.

Yes- the feeling vulnerable part is definitely driven by how feminine you feel. Knowing that the possibility of needing that “knight in shining armor” (tow truck driver-LOL) to come and rescue me and my car is an exhilarating feeling…..you definitely find that it brings you out of the closet a bit when you have no choice but to get help while you are dressed in some kind of flimsy night time outfit!

“I can relate to that! Been outside in my night gown many times jump starting someones car! Once I even repaired a flat tire for a lady while I was wearing a nightgown! By the way! I have no shame!!!!”

Yep- been there and done the jump starting thing in a night gown after wearing out the poor battery trying to get the motor turned over for long periods of time!

“I just remember Ricardo Montobon saying it in the comercials!! Lol. You must live in the desert because those things rusted out on the showroom floors. Lol. God I feel old!”

Nope Karen- I am in a cold climate honey! And that Corinthian leather can be really chilly to sit on a cold winters day or night mercifully trying to get the old clunker to start!

Even though I'm very open about my dressing and am fine being in public as a guy in a skirt, I actually do keep a pair of old jeans in the trunk of my car, just in case. I definitely feel like it's a good idea to be prepared in case my car breaks down and I'm at the mercy of a tow truck driver who may or may not be so cool with how I dress.

The expressions on faces I have seen over the years when needing help with my cars has been priceless!! Doesnt bother me so much anymore.

Nope. Like Karren, I do my own maintenance, so I get to see most things before they even get a chance to go wrong. Old cars can be just as reliable as new cars, you just have to pay attention to their needs....hmmmm, I guess maybe that's why so many men refer to their cars as 'she', because in that way, they're just like women. My cars are now 21 and 25 years old, respectively. Cars will 'speak' to you; changes in meter readings, unusual sounds, changes in the way they start, drive, accellerate or brake, when something's different, it means something's wrong.
But I don't go outdoors in lingerie or 'sleepwear', so it's not gonna happen.

I cannot imagine starting the car in a peignoir or teddy or the ilk. I've never been a person who Grooves on wearing feminine intimates to bed. For me, in the winter-time it's something warm like cotton flannel sweat pants and sweat shirt, and spring, summer and autumn it's au naturale. I also have sensible bathrobes of heavy terry cloth and wool, and clunky felt-lined, boot-style house slippers. Unisex or Androgynous, you pick the terminology, but it works for me if not for everybody. In my life I've been married three times for a total of almost 30 years, and I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I can remember any of those ladies wore something filmy in the Fredericks of Hollywood genre to bed. I have five kids, too, so there must be something very sexy about women wearing, e.g., plaid men's boxer shorts and a Marine Corps tee shirt.

I had a neighbor in Colo. who went to work about 2hrs(5am) before I did and in the winter would drive her (she knew) to work and thought nothing of getting out bed in my nightgown slipping on my heels and coat and taking her then coming home and getting back in bed with the wife for a little more sleep. Luckly never any car trouble.

I've been stuck a few times...and thank God never been outed. One night came close though-a group of youths on their quads came by as I was struggling to get out of a snowy trap and fortunately they did NOT stop to offer assistance to this "damsel in distress." What a scary feeling!

I got a flat tire one time, and had to change it my self.
Not an easy task in 4" heels and a longer skirt.
One other time I was out for drive in the country and got lost, and when I
pulled into what I thought was the end of lane way,I got hopelessly stuck.
I was out of cell phone range,so I had to walk to the closest house to get help. That was a bit embarassing.
I'm not to the point of full make-up asof yet,and only tend to go in full dress at night, and generally not in really busy areas. Most of the time I go to local parks, the beach,or just drive around.I was never in the habit of taking
male clothes then,i am now though!

I don't think a GG would ever wear heels and a nightgown together.

No, but a CD would. I would - and have! The babydoll, stockings, and heels look is a classic.
