first i'll state that my wife has known about my dressing for some time and somewhat supports it, and am in the closet to everyone else.

I had trouble falling asleep last night, and came down the stairs to have my wife pretty much tackle me on the last few steps and catch out of the corner of my eye my sister in-law sitting in the living room looking right at me. I was wearing a nightie as I do 90% of the time to bed. There is no way that I can see it that she didn't notice, I was still up when my wife came to bed and asked if her sister said anything, she said no but i'm sure that she saw me.

Well, I guess only time will tell. Hopefully your wife is in your corner enough to help with the possible pending circumstances. Good luck and keep us posted!

You might consider dropping the word might to 'have been caught'! You can dig a hole and jump in! Or face the music and use this opportunity to your advantage and be proud of who you are!

you are no longer in the closet to everyone else. But most likely made no difference to sister-law. I am sure she would have said something about it to your wife.

Perhaps your sister-in-law doesn't want to know about it, and will be so polite as to block the already burned-in image from her mind. I'd let the wife take the lead if I were you, unless you really feel like telling everyone.

Hmmm! Let's ponder this for a moment. You know your sister in law is in the house. You get up and wander around in your nightie. Into the room that you probably had a good idea that she was sitting in. I think you came out...and not an accident.

Okay...so you are in the room with nothing on...you need to go to another room, the only thing to wear is your wife's nightgown... what's there to question? Or are we talking a really skimpy lengerie?

Many men wear nightshirts which aren't too far visually from the nightgowns worn by women.

I wouldn't worry about it. She was in your house and happened to see something a bit out of the ordinary. She has no idea of your motivations. If nothing is said, and that is very likely, let sleeping dogs lie.

I didn't know she was in the house, I heard a car pull up but thought it was the neighbors

I agree, do not sweet the encounter. If it stills bothers you, ask your Wife if there was any mention
about what she saw or thought she saw.

no big deal then, since your wife knows and is somewhat supportive

maybe SIL will get you something nice for your birthday?!

If that was my sister in law, she would have taken out an ad in the local paper, posted it all over Facebook, and possibly called the local TV news crew. As long as you don't share my sister in law (and thank the Lord that you don't!), I wouldn't sweat it. If it is mentioned later, just use the excuse "I was thirsty, I sleep naked, I was half asleep, I heard another voice, and I grabbed what was in reach".

Sorry, but don't think that excuse will work too well! "Thirsty"-maybe...."sleep naked"- maybe..."half asleep"-OK..."heard another voice"-OK....."grabbed what was in reach"....NOT likely.....:thumbsdn:

Let's see now...how does that saying go...

"If you try and do not succeed...cheat,
Repeat until caught.
Then LIE."

:drink:

Can't remember where I found that. Pretty sure it is not the boy scout motto. Maybe Microsoft or my bank...

As long as you weren't wearing a wig and breast forms, don't worry about it. She may think your choice of sleepwear is strange, but she doesn't know you're a crossdresser.

She has a key to your house, or someone let her in? If she has a key, you're never going to be safe in your house.

This morning the sun rose in the East, the Northern Hemisphere is still in summer while the Southern part of the world is in winter. Birds sing, bees buzz, and the grass grows and rivers flow.

There are two people who are important in this story and they both are OK with you wearing whatever you like. Your SIL is nothing of concern since this does not interfere with her life in any manner. She still eats right? I mean this has not effected her appetite? Oxygen still flows in her lungs.

IT ain't no thing. But I agree with Karren, maybe you need to open up to more people especially people who visit your house without warning
