I was inspired to post this by another post.
If I start a list of all the benefits of crossdressing can other girls add to it?
O.K. this post will probably die the death. But I thought it could lift a few spirits here.
Here goes…………

1 It satisfies my need to be feminine. [An obvious one I suppose]
2 It makes me feel younger and more alive.
3 I get to talk to and have fun with you girls.
4 The thrill of getting that new dress, putting it on and it fits.
5 ………………over to you girls

I'm re-learning to sew (in Jr. High I could sew circles around my gg classmates in Home Ec :)), which not only will give me perfectly tailored dresses, skirts & blouses but it also satisfies my creative side.

High heels and tight skirts make something as simple as walking a new and exciting experience.

To our SOs: We'll never, ever complain about having to go shopping with them.

Better to give to a merchant than the government. Any money you make, it taxes you,any money you save,
you get taxed, any money you spend, well you pay a tax, but much smaller.
So buy bolly buy.

In my neighborhood today it is near 90 degrees outside. As I walked to the store in a tank top and a loose, flowy, gauzy skirt, I definitely felt like, "hey there's some definite perks to being a crossdresser..."

It brings me such joy when I pay with my male Credit card and the SA says OMG I had no idea.

Flirting is such a rush

Not always! :) However, it's helped me to give useful suggestions when I've been clothes-shopping with my fiancee and my cousin, like saying, "This top would look really cute on you, and it goes well with these capris," or holding something up beside their face and seeing whether the color works well for them or not. They appreciate my advice, and they probably think it's because I was married before for a number of years that I know what I'm talking about. Not quite! :heehee:

1) I get recognized and remembered at stores, restaurants, banks, etc. much more than as a male. I always used to blend into the crowd, now I stand out, and people remember that.

2) I'm much more social, talkative and outgoing when dressed (although still not enough -- I need to work on that). Meeting and learning about other people is much easier for me.

3) People open doors and carry packages for me.

4) I get to wear nail polish and show off my ability to walk in sexy heels.

I love the feeling and the look ouf how a skirt or dress moves when I'm walking.
I love how it feels to walk in heels and absolutely adore the sound heels make on the floor!
It relaxes me, when I feel the urge to dress and I can't it makes me somewhat irritable.
Then of course there's the ability to properly express my feminine side.

Without crossdressing I probably never would have known how great my legs would feel with no hair. And crossdressing is the greatest motivation for losing weight (still working on it). I care so much more how I look in a skirt than I do in a pair of pants.

1) Understand and communicate with forest animals;

2) The power to levitate;

3) Exorcise evil demons and ghosts bent on world domination and destruction on demand; and

4) The ability to eat only one Lays potato chip.

Ok, maybe I went a little off topic, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night! :)

Benefits to me? The ability to emerge at least from time to time from a disguise that I wore for too long. To others...I think I'm a better person, not because I'm a CD, but because I can be myself, and not feel angry and frustrated by repressing myself. But I can't levitate.

I have stayed at many holiday inns myself so I can fully understand Anne.
So for our American friends what is there equivalent for our holiday inns, a shoddy motel perhaps?

She was making a pop culture reference, There's a hotel chain in America called Holiday Inn, and they have an offshoot called "Holiday Inn Express" and their commercials feature people behaving like they're an expert at something they aren't and then when they're called on it they say "But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!"

(Sidenote, Holiday Inn Express' are awesome, they have free breakfast with eggs and bacon and everything.)

Well I'm not taking money out of my tax sheltered instruments to invest in women's clothing! Unless I missed the line on my 1040 where they were tax exempt? Lol.

I cannot think of one reason why I would want to be a cross-dresser if I wasn't. But I am! I do NOT know why. I accept. When I do dress en-femme I do feel relaxed. It is a stress reliever. I also feel totally relaxed sitting in a beach chair on the shore of the Pacific Ocean reading a good book. Maybe, if I relocated to that isolated beach, I'd wouldn't cross dress?

The benefits is that it is stressreliefing, its creative, its exciting, its a thrill, its an expression. And you can actually be fully satisfied with being alone! Most people hate to be alone but alone to me means something else. There are so many more alternatives in life..

I move to have this declared not a benefit!! If you didn't HAVE to crossdress then you wouldn't be irritable so you wouldn't crossdress to relax you! Lol.

Please don't get upset at me if I say this, but the benefits of being a crossdresser is the same as the benefits of being left-handed, or being gay, or being a Mac user........Mac user, did I say that? :bs:

of course being left handed has it's advantage in bar brawls and hockey fights..... we ladies are too civilized and ladylike for such things.

What could be better than putting on a skirt and blouse and getting your nails done in pink!
Just go ahead and give into the pink fog.

Yes, it is a great stress reliever. Also, I find that panties are better to wear as they are easier on my man parts than regular men's underwear. Blouses and skirt or dresses or also give more comfort. Can be a substitute, for feminine looks if lacking a SO although for other things a SO would be desirable. And oh, the feeling of a nice soft nightie on your skin. mmm.

I too find it relieves stress. Some household chores actualy become more interesting if done while dressed. Tidying up junk and cleaning house is more fun when you don't want to ladder your tights or snag your skirt!
I also seem to have more patience and am more gentle with things when I am Nicola ( and not the big, clumsy, hulking bloke that I spend most of my time as).

Sometime, just sometimes mind you, I feel that I am better able to 'relate' to the women in my life. At least when it comes to things like the differences in sizing from store to store or the discomfort of wearing high heels that are uncomfortable but look absolutely fab; and things like that. But in the same vein cross dressing can be a problem. I have never been in a real long term relationship or anything like that, but I could see my feminine side causing difficulties. Since I am technically 'in the closet' cross dressing is my ME time and I never want to give that up.

Blue Orchid, Did you say women's jeans? Karren, the "jeans police officer" may have caught that!LOL. In the closet, it is a lot of work, getting shaved and made up, but a few hours of photo sessions wears me out, and i lose a few pounds. Now, for me, going out in public, is high anxiety, but thrilling. I just am too tired, too dress very often though. A lot of end of life issues in the family, the past year, and ahead.

You mean paying more for machinery than less costly ones that can do the same job? :)
