hi Jenny
Looking at your pic in the black dress I would say you have the potential to pass.
The problem is the pics dont show your face very well to give a more honest answer, but passing encompasses a whole set of issues.

How you look.
How you walk.
Your mannerisms.
How many times have you seen someone and said it that a guy or girl

I think we all have the potential its just a matter of getting thing right

I'm sure you will get more advice
What you then do with it is up to you

Thanx Shelly, you are right, I have seen some cd'rs that could not pass in a room with no windows and the lights turned off at night. I have never had any feed back whatsoever :-( I would love to meet someone near by to take good quality photo's but for now I have to resort to the timer on the digital ughhh.

Hi Jenny,
As long as you asked, I'll tell the truth.
Your stance is like a pro football player, relax and think Lady.
Five O clock shadow.
On the good side you have lovely legs.

The timer is OK, thats what most of us use, you just need more light and lighter background (lighter area) turn on all the lights or add some more.

Remember practice make perfect.

Can you show a close-up of your face? That is very important in passing, and that way we can see how your makeup is done, beard shadow is hidden, brows done, etc. Thanks Jenny, we are here to help......

It appears that you have the potential, but not all of us pass even 75% of the time.

I don't pass, but I don't worry about passing anyway. I do what I want (when my wife lets me) and don't let others dictate what I can or cannot do within the bounds of the law.

Hi Jenny,

It would help if you smiled, it would really brighten your face up, and you do need a close shave. With that being said, you have to realize that there aren't that many who can really "pass". Lets face it, you can only do so much with make-up and a wig, so I wouldn't worry about it to much. It's how you feel and see yourself on the inside that's important.

There is an improvment in your look as the photos have progressed.

There are so many factors in passing, there are a few in this forum who are attractive and seem to not need a lot of effort, but most of us have to work hard at it.

The effort that goes into my look is imense, it has taken me years, the best tool though for me has been my video camera, it gets everything and well worth using.

I have masculine arms, so I hide them.

I have masculine legs, (sadly) I hide them.

I used to hide my adams apple with polo neck jumpers, I wore these for over 20 years, it was not until the last two years did I realise I look better with my neck revealed.

There are so many little things that added up can make the difference.

I spend half an hour shaving and go through 5 blades, to get rid of the shadow and it is still there, so I have to hide that.

I have tried so many hair styles, I have had this one now for about 4 years, I have not been able to better it, or even equal it, it seems to suit my face better than any, but I still look to improve it.

Keep practicing and posting we love to help.

Sophie.

Jenny, I'd like to say something and I hope I am able to word it so that it comes across as it is meant....which is kindly and with some sort of support.

There are many people who have spent YEARS trying to perfect a look and not been able to truly pass. They have spent ages on makeup and hair and clothing and then asked, quite tentatively and nervously (as we all do) "How do I look?"

But to present yourself as half made up, as "Oh excuse me I have no wig"...is just asking for trouble. I mean....You HAVE seen a woman right? You know what they look like? Give us your BEST SHOT and THEN ask us? It's not nice or fair to show a photo of a guy with a beard shadow and say "Can I pass?" or "Have I the potential?" Yeah, we all have the potential but if I asked if I had the potential to drive a racing car I would not turn up on my moped.

Oh and btw the black dress works best.

Seriously, no offence meant but someone had to stand back and say something.

:) Hi Julie, I understand what you are saying, I am working on it a little at a time, I wanted to change the name of this thread but apparently I can't do that so I changed the text in my initial post in this thread instead. Thank You for you criticism, Hopefully tommorow I'll be able to get some after shaving etc...;)

From a photo perspective, I've heard from several women that they never want to have the camera pointing up at them......it makes the look bigger. Perhaps if you set the camera up higher it will help portray a more feminine image. Best of luck.....and I'm jealous of the size of your wardrobe!!

You appear to be rather large framed, and the short denim skirt emphasizes that. The long black dress in the first series of pics blends all aspects of your head and body into a nice balance.

Hey, I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but two things come to mind right away. First, shave. Shave close....VERY close. When I'm done shaving, I use some moisturizing lotion, like Vaseline Intensive Care, on my face. It helps me to find the places I missed. Then I can shave back over the rough spots. Believe me, it helps a lot. You'll probably need a beard cover as well, as you have a thick beard. I have never used one, even though I could use my own advice here. Second, get a nice wig. Be prepared to spend about $120.00 for a quality wig. Yeah, the price put me off, too, but now I consider it money well spent.

Oh, and the denim dress is to die for!

Thnx Katie+Marla, believe it or not when I shave you can't tell for about 6 hours that there is any facial hair, the sunburn/tan will give me away quicker than anything LOL. As for the Denim dress the dark one is awsome although I need to find someone who can fix a button hole, it has elongated and does not hold the button so I can wear it cuz when the button pops out the zipper goes down almost as quick :( I do love it though I got that one for free at a "good shed" at my old town dump LOL.

Put a heel cup in the shoe. Payless has a type that is a padded adhesive and is very comfortable. They are on a rack near and in front of the register usually.

Hi Jenny,

The last photo's much much better, but the curly wig just doesn't suit you.
The other wig looks great, even natural....
The figure and the legs, amazing.

Have you ever seen a film or watched a program on how the models pose for their pictures?
Heres a few links which have some great ideas, I looked through some of their pages and its given me some ideas.
ShutterStock (http://www.shutterstock.com/cat.mhtml?searchterm=female+model+poses&anyorall=all&search_group=photos&orient=all&searchtermx=&search_cat=&color=)

How did it feel to be out?

Jenny,

Girl you really are improving! I agree the curly wig is not as good for you. You have a great figure and legs. When taking a full length pic from the front try standing with one foot slightly behind the other. I think you will like the results. Go girl, you are doing great.
