3 weeks ago my wife told my sister in law and her reaction was very positive. She said you should live your life as you want. Whew!
So, next step was to tell my daughters. Carson Nation had a transgender who got a makeover and we taped it. My wife and daughter (20 yr old) came home while I was watching it and I told my daughter I had something to show her. She was shocked to say the least but also reacted quite positively. Big hugs and tears for us.
So today I told my older daughter (she's 25) and she laughed and said oh like David Bowie! She was like, ah no big deal.
I am so happy to have them both know, but it was scary for sure.

Welcome to the true love of your family, you deserve it!
So glad to hear everything went well.
Does your heart feel the relief yet?

Lovely to read this Kristina.
You must be wearing a smile even bigger than the one in your avatar girl.
Thanks for telling us.

Kristina, I'm so happy for you. Seems you and your wife did a wonderful job of raising such open minded and loving daughters. Now that you are beyond that, what's next?

It seems to me that young people are much more enlightened than my generation in gender matters. I'm happy, but not terribly surprised, by your success! :)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments......I think my older daughter was kind of freaked actually. She talked to my wife later and said it felt like a death in the family. So, there is work to do there she's very sensitive!

That is sooo nice that the girls took it soooo well. I also have 2 daughters and they both took it great and I have had some great times with them dressed. Movies and shopping and eating out.

That is a very nice and welcome first step Kristina. As you see, there is always work to be done. But with any outing, it is a progressive thing. Just keep on loving them and life will continue to be good. Congrats! :hugs:

Congrats on your "telling" and being accepted! Coming out is always a continuous learning process for both sides.

Wow Connie, that's great. I don't know if it will ever progress to that point with me, but I guess you never know!
