Would you/Could you do this?

I'm sitting in a surgical waiting room right now, waiting for one of my best gg friends to come out of the recovery room. She just had her uterus and her ovaries removed because of a genetic possibility of having ovarian cancer. I wonder if any of us, given our desires, would be able to have those parts removed if we had them.

(And yes, I did tell her that I would take her spare parts, but it didn't work out.)

Wow Persephone, you sure came up with a tough question. I don't know if I could give an honest answer. I would think it would be very hard to go thru this but if it means beating cancer you would almost have to do it.
Hope your best friend comes thru her surgery successfully and has a quick recovery.

Unfortuantely many women have had to decide on surgery for genetic reasons

For some it many be the threat of ovarian cancer for others it the thought of getting breast cancer

It has been known for this to be up to be 95 % certain and it has happens with a few who found out after deciding not to have elective surgery

They needed the op for medical reasons

This has nothing to do with the desires we have

My heart goes out to every woman who has to go through this
