Does anyone know of any inexpensive, discreet, UK based, on-line stores that cater for our tastes? It's one thing to buy a few bits of hose or some hair cream but I am not brave enough to go into a highstreet store and walk to the the checkout with stuff that quite obviously fits me! I also find that sites like Ann Summers are laughably expensive. Quite often their stuff is so over the top that it's not all that sexy.

Thanks for your help.

Another vote for VS. Selection, quality and in my experience, never so much as a whiff of suggestion that a guy buying lingerie for himself is anything other than normal...

Buying in a self service supermarket. such as Tesco, Saisbury, Asda etc which does clothing is best as you can put the pack of panties in the trolley and "Tracy" on the checkout will simply scan it through with your other shopping and pay no heed to what it is, you pay her and go on your way.

There are plenty of Internet shops, I wish these had been around when I was younger! Figleaves are good and for the olders styles such as the interlock cotton full briefs I like, Woods of Morecambe are first class.

I also buy my panties and knickers at Marks and Spencers as they do some styles suitable for the middle aged woman with the "fuller figure". I simply put them in my basket and take them to the pay point and have never been questioned or embarrassed in any way. If asked I would simply say they were for my wife.

Good luck!

Yeah the self-service checkouts are the best for buying underwear!
No worries about snooty sales girls!

It would be eaiser to list the places where have I not bought panties?:)

I prefer Lane Bryant panties, from LB store or Ross (a clearence store), I have also bouthg at TJ Max, K-Mart, Target, Sears, Penneys, just to name a few. The only place I avoid is Victoria Secrets, I find their stuff way over priced and of mediocre quality. I guess its a paying for the name name thing that makes them feel their panties are worth $20 a peice and bras are worth $50. Even my wife thinks their stuff is over priced for the quality.

I really have no problem with buying anything anymore. I figure what the hell, my money is as good as anyone elses. Besides I am sure I am not the first guy to buy panties, and I always try ti find the cutest clerk and kind of get a little thrill out of that knowing smile they give me.

I just go to M&S and buy them (and tights and and nighties and skirts etc.) when I'm in the UK. The checkout clerks don't even blink.

I agree with Jonien, Asda's 'George'range is excellent and reasonably priced, they have something for every girls requirements, and no embarrassment at checkout. Also Matalan are worth a look, not quite as good quality , but very cheap.

Donna you are so right; I always get a thrill from buying femme clothes; I used to be so incredibly shy, but now I love it; and still get that rush when I'm browsing, checking sizes, or heading for checkout with my selection.:)

I have purchased them for myself over the years at VS and at the Vanity Fair outlets..but my dear wife buys me them too. She went shopping today at TJ Max and bought me a few pairs. Can't wait for her to come home to see them:)

Well she came home with a  very sexy pair..probably more sexy than I would have picked out..certainly picked out in boy mode. They are black and lace kind of see through! I asked her to pick me up a top to match my favorite gypsy style skirt..she came back with a beautiful brown long sleeved top just right for my skirt....Out of the tree of life I just picked me a plumb! Condolences to Frank Sinatra, but boy can I pick em!!

Hi Simmone i buy most of my lingerie at the following stores Marks and Spencers!, Matalan, Asda, Tescos and Ethel Austin i was once like you not brave enough to buy them without being embarrassed but now i just plonk them on the counter sometimes with my food shopping and pay and not even an eyelid is batted by the shop assistants alternativly most of those High ST retailers have their own websites to buy on line with.

A lot of the main retailers now do customer support training for their assistants to deal with those of us from the Transgendered community it is called Diversity Training.

I buy my knickers manly from M&S and like some other girls have said I have never had any problems.

I also buy my “sexy” or should I say more expensive knickers and bra’s from independent stores. Here again the sales assistant who is normally the owner is only too pleased to help to make a sale. Every time they ask what size is your wife, or the more discreet ask what size is the lady? As they understand that not every pair of sexy knickers are brought for a wife. ;) :D

This is an excellent time of year with Christmas coming up more and more men are buying underwear for their ladies. Many stores have “men only” evenings to help sell more stock with the minimum embarrassment.

Having said that, if you are still too shy to buy underwear from a store then I have bought several things from bra’s, knickers, skirts and shoes from several mail order companies. The best I have found is www.abound.co.uk they have everything from £20 to £30 per pair right down to £7 or £8 for 10 pairs. I have found them to be very quick to deliver and even have an account in my girl name.

Another Great online store is www.discountworld.com this is a clearing online store for several others in the same group. They offer great discounts on every type of clothing including underwear.

I hope this has been of help and I do hope you get yourself a great deal on some very nice knickers.

Take care.

PS: Remember, M&S has an online store at www.marksandspencers.co.uk

Be brave.........

The first time I went into a department store to buy lingerie I was s******g bricks, looking around, waiting for the pay-desk to empty before rushing up and throwing my stuff on the counter, (and begging god that no good-looking girl saw me). You get over it.

I had no problem this weekend going out and buying 18 pairs of lovely silky panties. You're in a queue - in a shop - nobody gives a damn what you are buying - I even argued over the price on Saturday, and the supervisor was called, and apologised, while I was buying silky panties - as a bloke.

Trust me, get over the first time - nobody notices.

Debenhams is good
M and S is very good (but expensive)
H and M is great for two-piece

Hi Simmone,

I don't wish to be hard on you...but just go and do it...so what...GG's and G woman buy men's clothing all the time for their husbands or boyfriends...so what is the difference, and no one bats an eyelid. Female to Male CD's do it without question as well. I could say that if you are a girl deep down and you need the gear, buy it yourself in a shop and you can pick exactly want you want and get something that you really like.

Until you get some confidence, go to another suburb where you won't be identified...beter still go frocked up as Simmone...then no one will identify you at all.

Cheers

Colleen

If you feel safe buying womens clothing on line do it that way.You can use your card & address and even have the name of Simmone as the person it is sent to if you want.I try to buy it on line first or use it to get the best price.

Even though I absolutely detest them (declaring them "emergency use only"), I use Wal-Mart. The biggest reason is because they have self-service checkout lanes. :D
