Sometimes OK, Sometimes not

I try to do my makeup the same every time I get dressed but sometimes it looks good sometimes it looks terrible and I have to wash it off and try again.
I use both a very light red and also a flesh, orangish color cheap lipstick for beard cover. Through much experimentation this seems to work best for me along with concealer and Revlon color stay makeup. I blend two shades. It is really hard to get all the colors balanced just right. Usually I have a bit too much red but if it is not too bad I'll let it go, like this pic. Other times the orange will show too much and it looks awful. I try to get everything the same but every time seems to look a bit different.
