I know another post-op who went to Spiegel and she highly recommends him, he does great work.

Did a Skype consult with him last week. He's currently my first choice, but I can barely afford him. Seems to sell lip lifts a lot. Dislikes Zukowski's work.

I have a friend who had her FFS done by him about 4 months ago. She looks AMAZING and has nothing but good things to say.

Spiegel's words not mine. I'm going to pull the trigger on this, hoping for a date in the next couple months.

I had FFS with Dr Spiegel December 2008. I continue to be pleased with the results. The care at BMC was first rate. My photo is on his FFS website.

Which photo??????????????????????

All the before and after photos of Spiegels looked more natural like they were their sister.
I received an e-mail consult with Dr. Spiegel along with four other FFS surgeons. I liked Suporn and Spiegel the best
but decided on Spiegel because Suporn was close to the the same price after you factored in airfare and min. 21 day stay in Thailand.
I'll be under his knife this Spring.

My level of envy in simply reading these words is breathtaking. I'll file this whole thing under "just in case of need".

I leave tomorrow at 7:30 which means I need to be at the airport by 6:45 at the latest O_o. My BF is taking me so I don't have to pay to park, he's such a sweetie! I'm told to take "the T" (aptly named!), which I guess is a street car, If I want to go into town. Someone last night suggested that the "whaling" is good this time of year????? I think he meant whale watching, besides I'm pretty sure TSA doesn't allow harpoons on the plane. (would a whale be considered oversized luggage?) Apparently one can take the FERRY out to P-town (Providence Town) which is supposed to be a big gay and lesbian vacation destination on Cape Cod. Hopefully the weather will be good lest I end up looking like the fisherman from the package of frozen fish sticks that I sometimes buy for the kids. Minus the beard of course!

Hi April,
I only had a Trach shave with him, but know a few people that have gone to him for full FFS (jaw contours, forehead, nose, etc) and have been very pleased with his results. His results are very real, i.e. not 'Barbie Doll' overly exaggerated. Yea, he's rather pricey compared to the other FFS docs out there, but the other folks statements are sound - Spiegel is about the same as flying out to [x] and having the work done elsewhere.. and I live in the NE area. My opinions of BMC are mixed.. yes, MOST of the staff are nice folks that actually give a damn, however there are a few nurses that were not the nicest in the world. I was only there for ONE NIGHT of recovery, and when two of the nurses realized I was an M2F patient, their dispositions shifted slightly. Be advised that BMC is a TEACHING HOSPITAL, so there are A LOT of med students and residents going in and out of everywhere.

I have already been quoted for a brow bossing and hairline advance, and the price is certainly significant, however, short of a BA, then SRS/GRS, it's my next logical surgery if I were to have any more at all. He's a really nice man, and a fellow surgeon friend of mine has seen the scarlines / knifework on me, and of others, and gives him generally high marks for clean cuts with minimal scarring. He also does Botox injections for all sorts of things; he hooked my MOTHER while we were in there together for surgery meetings.. he's a charmer.

As far as P-Town goes.. it's a nice place, but tourist heck in the summer time. It is, generally IMHO, the definition of a GLBT hotspot and general safe haven. If you're out this way though, you should check out Northampton too..

Talked to Katie, and sending my deposit. Probably be late Oct or Nov for me. So if anyone in the Boston area wants to show around someone with bandages on their head, PM me. I do love Union Oyster House...

If you have time, try walking the Freedom Trail. I also liked taking the train into Cambridge. And Copley Place...

Dr. Spiegel is very nice. He basically told me what I already knew as far as brow and nose. We discussed jaw and he said it was optional but I would definitely be happy with the results. He didn't feel my upper lip needed reduction which I would have thought I would need. I also thought a mini face lift he thought not but suggested fat implants to fill out my cheeks and some of the lines and scares around my mouth. Obviously a trachea shave is in order mostly because I'm so thin that the little Adams apple I do have is noticeable in profile. You don't want to know what the price I was quoted was! My BF thought it would be 4 digits LOL!

My wife is from Boston and Knows every nook and cranny of the place so she gets to drive. Dr Speigel is great and Katie his patient coordinator
is fantastic we had alot of fun there. Sticker shock was what I had expected. my wifes eyes bugged out of her head when she saw the bottom line and wants to know when I will be financing her face lift!! finding the money will be key I have the deposit saved already. The Doctor's priorities for me are jaw and chin bone work, a face lift, trach shave, lip lift, and eye lift. and all of that for a little less than 50!!! I thought the price is reasonable enough and includes hospitalization and anesthesia. It's isn't neccessary to have all of the procedures at once but is cheeper in the long run if you do as much as you can. My quote is good for six months which means that once I put things in order I will be booking surgery in Febuary. Can't wait!!
