Some interesting local TG news here in St Cloud Minnesota USA @ SCSU (Saint Cloud State University) just a 1/2 mile away on the other side of the Mississippii RRiivveerr <giggles>
here is the brief story taken off the local AM radio station KNSI:

St. Cloud State will no longer have a Homecoming King and Queen and will now just name homecoming royalty. The University decided to drop gender as a candidate requirement after a controversial ending to last year’s homecoming coronation. Fue Khang was crowned homecoming queen last year, but Khang is a man. That sparked controversy and hate crimes and prompted the University to hold dialogues with students to see how they felt about the coronation. The mother of one of last year’s homecoming queen candidates spoke out against Khang being named queen and organized a petition drive against it. A University spokesperson tells KNSI Radio in St. Cloud they decided to drop gender differences from this year’s coronation following last year. But, declined to comment further. Voting for this year’s two candidates is open until two-o’clock tomorrow. The crowing of the new royalty will be held Thursday at eight-o’clock at Ritsche Auditorium KNSI Link (http://www.mndaily.com/articles/2004/11/11/11206)
