I would imagine that a great many of us have gone to a hotel or motel specifically for the purpose of dressing, whether for an event or for just our own personal enjoyment.

I thought it might be interesting to share funny (or even scary) hotel/motel stories in a thread here. Perhaps someone saw you dressed and reacted in a good way. Perhaps you had an experience at a "less expensive" establishment that was less than enjoyable, maybe having nothing to do with your CD'ing, even though you were dressed at the time.

Years ago, I didn't have room to hide very many feminine things, so all I had was pantyhose, a skirt or two, and a couple pairs of shoes all stuffed into a small duffel bag. I would go to a very cheap motel in my area and wear them, but still in boy-mode on top. I went outside for a smoke and there was this girl, probably 18 or so, who saw me. She told me I looked good as she was walking past me. Of course, I appreciated the comment.

Of course, this same motel provided some scary stories. Like the time there was a fire in a room about 10 doors down and I had to quickly change out of what I was wearing and throw it in my car just in case I had to leave. This place was also known for drugs and prostitution, so you can imagine some of that provided for scary moments as well.

Anyone got any stories to share?

This kind of fits. We had a contract job that went bad that required a large group to stay in a motel for an extended time. Lots of people I did not know but after awhile I became the focal point for the motel staff since everyone was working terrible hours.

One of the guys ended up in an expensive room since that was all that was left but wanted to move to a cheaper one when it became available. The guy was working long hours so the hotel staff moved his stuff to the cheaper room while he was at work.

Word spread quickly that they found bras and panties during the move. I stopped the rumors by telling everyone that the guy had packed for his wife but at the last minute she had to cancel. It worked. I never met the guy since he left soon after when his part was finished. I always wonder if he knew I saved his butt.

Not really. I come and go enfemme for my hotel rooms without incidence. Even with coworkers staying at the same hotel. Passed them in the parking lot with no issues. If you go into my room you'd be hard pressed to find anything that says a male is staying there. Ohh I did have a run in with a hotel security guard or two. Usually when coming in late and looking for the pop machine. "Can I help you maam?". Ahh No!! Lol. Nothing exciting. I've had more issues at casinos. "Maam your not allowed to take photos of yourself on the casino floor"! He had no sense of humor!

My first crossdressing experiences were in hotel/motel rooms. A few years ago, when I was just beginning to dress, I found myself alone in Billings, MT over a weekend with plenty of free time on my hands. After shopping for some clothes, makeup, and a "Hannah Montana" costume wig, I got dolled up in my motel room and thought I looked good enough to go out for a drive in my car. The thought of walking through the motel lobby terrified me, so I sneaked down the stairs and out a side door. The drive around Billings was uneventful, but nonetheless exciting for a newbie CD like me. When I returned to the motel, I needed to use my magnetic room keycard to enter the side door of the building ... but the card didn't work! I assumed that radiation from my cell phone had disabled the card and I was going to have an embarrassing encounter with the front desk staff to get a new card. Fortunately, however, my card opened the side door on the other side of the building and also opened the door to my room. Back in the safety of my room, I felt like I had just dodged a bullet.

So I'm staying at an Embassy Suites in SoCal while attending classes for the company I used to work for. I was deep in the closet at the time and this week-long stay away from home was a perfect opportunity to do a little dressing. At the time I didn't have breast forms and was using water balloon boobs.

I had used the same water balloons all week and on Friday morning as I was packing up to leave I mananged to pop one of those balloons full of warm water right in my lap as I was sitting on the couch! Of course the water created a puddle on the couch cushion and a smaller puddle in my lap!

Happily I was able to dry everything out with the bathroom hair dryer. Flipped over the cushion just in case! Took all morning for my heart to quit racing.

About three years ago, I went to a 2 day crossdressing convention in Edmonton, in the middle of winter. On the second night, during the middle of our ball at the hotel, some drunk joker pulled the fire alarm. So we gals, some of whom had never ever been outside dressed before, piled out of the ballroom and out the front door -- not only in plain view of the other people at the hotel, but also in plain view of the firemen who drove up! Photo Opportunity!

The assistant manager, a GG who had been treating us all very well during the stay, and had volunteered to work the bar for us that night. Well, she got royally ticked off that someone would pull a false alarm on her watch, and bother her girls, so she went to investigate and somehow managed to track down the guy who had pulled the alarm, and got him outside and was keeping him there for the police, haranguing him. The guy was giving some lip back, and looked like he was going to attack her, so about half a dozen of the gals went to protect her and keep him there.

We figure that the guy who pulled the alarm might never "live down" having pulled the alarm, being chased by a feisty woman, and corralled by a bunch of crossdressers and transvestites in gowns and high heels until he could be arrested (and yes, his friends did clearly see that part.)

I was staying at the Dulles Marriott. I was wearing some tight flared girly stretch jeans and a loose silky top. Had some decent makeup on with a subtle copper colored lipstick, mascara, eye liner, etc. Well, it was late so decided to go out for a smoke (Virginia Slims 120's of course) and a night cap. So, made it to the courtyard area where it was dimly lit. Thought I was safe but when I walked by someone tapped on the window. Next thing I know they came outside and gave me the wolf whistle. I was holding my cigarette high, like a woman would. Must have tipped them off. Well, got kind of nervous as to what might happen and just kept going. Just shocked me that someone would notice and sort of proposition me. I'm sure if I pursued it could have led to something...who knows. Heart was racing at the situation. Kind of a thrill though.

I will be staying in a hotel or motel this Halloween for the first time and getting ready and heading out. I will tell you how it goes after that weekend in Oct. I'm just hoping I don't get cold feet...

My worst was years ago when I was a relative newby and went into panic mode fairly easily. I was co-chairing the Annual Lacing Table (a day-long corsetting conference) in San Francisco along with Marcia Staylace.

I had been offered a free room at a new, very classy, and super expensive hotel because they were hoping to get my company's business.

The hotel prided themselves on having an extended check-out time. Great! But it didn't dawn on me that would mean they also might not have rooms available early! I was due for an early dinner meeting and, at that time, needed hours to get ready. I flew into San Francisco, got to the hotel, and spent the next three hours cooling my heels as they "prepared my room."

Finally, well past the start of my anticipated get-ready time, I got into my room. Lo and behold, their ultra-hip "European modern" decor provided no dresser nor real closet, but an open clothes hanging rod and this sort of see-thru mobile wire-basket device instead of a dresser. Fortunately I didn't have any expected muggle company!

Frantically got dressed and headed out to dinner. Came back very late with panyhose that had been shredded by catches on a badly finished chair leg, and a bit tiddly [drunk] and unstead on my feet. I recall the doorman and one of the concierges rushing to ask me "Is everything alright, M'am?"

When I got to my room I noticed a broomstraw resting against my door! As Eluuzion can tell you, that's an ancient trick for telling if someone has gone through a door! I was being watched! But by whom? Turned out the hotel made a practice of having the housekeeping staff do the broomstraw trick so that they would then know when you had returned so that they wouldn't bother you. (Now replaced by infrared sensors in some hotels).

Throughout the weekend the sense that I was being spied upon by the over-solicitous staff, even though the hotel literature pushed their discrete and private nature, left me too uneasy to ever return and they never got our corporate account.

Hugs,
Persephone.

Well it was a little scary but in hindsight it's a little funny. I was at a hotel in Seattle on business. I stayed an extra 2 days to dress and go out some. I came in late one night and passed a guy who whistled at me. I ignored it but he kept following me. so in the stairwell i went in the hallway of the floor below mine so he wouldn't know where my room was by then he was following only a few feet behind. I turned towards him and said "back off asshole" (in my male voice.) so he called me a fag which made me start in towards him and he ran off. I had a little chuckle to myself about it. It could have turned out badly but just because I look sexy in heels and a skirt doesn't mean I'm weak.

I was in Vegas for a week long class and every evening, after dinner, I would dress. I decided to go out for a late night snack at the drive through. I was able to leave my room, and go out the side door into my rental car. When I returned two men were passing by the parking lot, stopped and wolf whistled at me! I quickly returned to my room with my heart beating a million beats a minute.

The next night I went out again. When I returned, my card key would not work. As I was trying the lock, a man from several rooms down came over and told me that his was not working too. He asked if I would I like for him to escort me down to get the key fixed. I mumbled a "no thanks" and turned the other way and walked out. Since my card key was not working, I needed to go to the front desk fully dressed and ask for a new key. Apparently, this was only a big deal for me as the night clerk glanced at me, took my card and gave me a new one without any questions. As I left, I saw him staring at me in the mirror.

My story is I stayed at a Marriott Residence Inn one time in Atlanta and agreed to meet a couple dressed as a sexy French Maid and thought that I had accidentally locked myself out of my hotel room. I finally decided I had no choice but to go to the front desk dressed as a sissy maid and asked them to let me back into my room. This young hot girl was shocked to say the least, but she gave me another key. Imagine how stupid and embarrassed I felt when I got back into my room and found I really did have my key, which was buried in the bottom if my purse!

I don't go to hotels specifically to dress, but I frequently go on business trips and I almost always try to pack an outfit or two, especially if I'm staying for 12 days (to work-weeks and the week-end). I frequently go out while dressed as well.

One of my favorites was a trip to San Francisco. I had stayed over the week-end and had gone to a 12 step meeting. After the meeting 3 girls asked me if I would give them a ride home. We ended up going out for dinner, dancing, and had a lot of fun together. They were interested in more, but I had to be at work the next morning and it was getting late. We still had a lot of fun.

It was fall of 1999, last Nascar race of the season, I had to be there. Atlanta, Georgia. Booked my flight picked up the rental car and headed out in search of my hotel. It was night time, hot and humid and all I wanted to do was get to my room so I could get all those male clothes off my smooth body and get into something femme for the evening. I was closeted back then until November of the same year and the thrill of being out of town and en femme was intoxicating. My pulse rate was off the charts and all I could think of was getting dressed, getting out, and doing something outdoors, anything, it didn't matter what. I needed to hear my heels clicking in the darkness that protected me in the night. I craved the feeling of my hose rubbing together as I walked, the swaying of my skirt and the air flowing around and through my legs. The plan was all carefully thought out; I would go shopping for shoes somewhere, walk with confidence, and all would be perfect. I exited the hotel. How wonderful I thought as the night air hit me like freedom from prison. I was on a mission and the plan was being executed perfectly. I walkedt to the rental car a few hundred feet away from all the while listening to my heels thinking, oh, how glorious! Reaching into my purse for my car keys I began to sweat. Where did I put those damn keys. The search continued but car keys were not to be found. Panic struck! I turned to see if I dropped them by accident, but no, no keys anywhere. Now what do I do I thought. For God's sake I thought, I have to go back through the hotel to my room and get the keys. My blood was racing through my veins at a speed faster than Dale Earnhardt Sr. could ever imagine driving. Sweat was pouring down me like rain from a roof. As I begin to return to the oom, I get two steps from the car, and a big, I mean big, as in Goliath sized, man begins to approach me from the bushes that lined the parking lot wearing a sort of official outfit and carrying something in his hand. Oh, for F***k sakes I was thinking, I'm gonna get killed!!!!! His voice rang out like a gunshot, " Ma'am, are you allright?" I quickly turned to him, fear flowing from my face, and quickly said, " Yes, thank you, I just forgot my keys." Faster than a rapist could run, I headed for the hotel, not ever thinking about the return through the hotel lobby and what someone might think I was doing. Once at the room, I reached for a towel to soak up all the water exiting my body. After 5 inutes of recooperation, new makeup went on, re-composed, it was back out the door. Being from a small town in Canada where security guards only work at factories, I had no idea hotels for God's sake had security. Talk about a shock learning hotels in the US have them. When arriving at my car again, I saw the security guard wave to me so I politely waved back and smiled. The rest of the night went off without a hitch and Jill had the time of her life from then on in. Oh yes, I lost about ten pounds in ten minutes that night and probably aged ten years.

Early in my dressing life I managed to lock myself out of my motel room. I was fully dressed in a clubbing outfit and in the car when it hit me. Not knowing what else to do, I went on to the club and sat there stewing for a couple of hours, wracking my brain for a solution. Eventually I just had to return to the front desk and ask for another key. That's when I discovered that it's no bid deal, and I've been checking in femme ever since.

The last time I was out dressed (too long ago) I was with my wife, and we stayed for a cpl nights in a hotel for our Anniversary,I found out the lie of the land before coming down dressed on the second day,The staff were cool about it,we went out and had the best day,we did,for the first time go to more mainstream places e.g. Pizza Hut,whereas before we only went to TG Venues.we recieved no negative remarks or stares from the public,It was a fabulous day and I never felt as comfortable as I did that day,Later that evening I went out myself to the Chip Shop, and the manager of the hotel saw me return, she reacted no different to me,and the next day at checkout she remarked that She wouldn't have known I was a Crossdresser (well it was dark lol) Altogether an amazing experience, shared with the love of my life.
