I know we have many here in this section of the forum just starting transition as well as several now that have recently had SRS. This is a wonderful life changing time for a transsexual. That being said, Where do you see yourself 5 years from today?

In an entirely new "professional" career and fully corrected. Then just living life to the end!

I've had 2 big things happen in my life in the last few months that significantly influenced my answer.
Firstly I had SRS in July and am now a whole, complete, congruent woman.
Secondly, last month I agreed to meet someone for coffee. He was TG who was nearing the end of getting a divorce, mostly due to his increasing need to transition. Within a few short weeks, Kristy is out to the world, including at work, and we are very happy together.
Where do I see myself 5 years from today? Pretty much where I am right now. Enjoying life with the love of my life, Kristy, and working for the same employer I've been with for over 12 years now.

I just realized I didn't give an answer to my own question. I am getting to the age where retirement starts to enter ones mind. I have owned my own business for 20 years now and it has grown nicely over the years. I would like to retire in the next 5 years so I have actively searched for and found another girl to take my place. While I will maintain ownership of the business for awhile yet, I have started turning over responsibilities to her. It depends a lot on what the economy does as to when I will actually retire.
I am thinking of buying a villa on some tropical island and hiring a few studs to service my every desire. :) Well, a girl dream can't she?:daydreaming:

I have just started my transition. Because of that I have free myself from my prison. I have also meet some very wonderful people because of it. I have also received a wonderful a gift for me being me. I met this wonderful lady that has stolen my heart and accepted me for me. Even so being in transition and not knowing where my travels may take me, Pam says she will be there as long as I want her to be.. Even so she really wanted a man in her life, she accepted me for me. So I am in hopes of being with her and the same employer that I have work for over 23 years which has also help to make my transition so much easier with there support.
5 years from now I see happiness, joy and love in my life. Not only because of my transition and acceptance of my employer but also because of Pam. .
What more could a girl ask for.

I see myself in five years time as being post op and totally settled down in my life.
The only thing that I ever worry about now is getting my GRS over and done with,
but apart from that life for me is completely different to how I knew it five years ago.

Hopefully just getting laid is the main topic.

If I can get my brain wrapped around the concept, and truly accept who I believe I am... then I will be a woman well within 5 years. That, have a family, and a new career. And be living in a place that has a much warmer climate.

After one year on the transition road I am where I want to be with the exception of SRS which will take place in May 2012. Then, I have completely arrived.

I can't even see where I will be in 5 weeks time, let alone 5 years The only near certainty for me is that I will be doing it in my true gender

I'm afraid to consider that question.

By that time I should either be happy or broken and defeated. Hard to say.

I have been on hormones for a month now and I should be having srs within the next 18 months. In 5 years I hope to be in a better paid job, preferably where I will be using the knowledge from my engineering degree. I would probably still not have enough for ffs but would have some of the funds I need to pay for it. Most of all, I would happily be living my life as a woman and being more confident that I am now.

Hi,
5 years , hmm i'll be 69 more than likely still here in Waimate & hope fully with our groups , i dont see many changes for my self, i really think 15 years of many changes will do for this woman ,
Tho i know there will be a few changes for a good number of my friends & i'll miss them , on the lighter side i'll be seeing our grandkids gowing up. & i know those changes are coming as we Jos & i see that now,
Yes there will be a few changes ,

There have been some interesting answers to my question. Some I thought would be more ambitious but it is understandable with the current economy. Pam & Kristy, I wish you both well. It's great to have another in your life that really understands you. Inna, don't we all wish we were 20 years younger :) . BreenaDion, great idea but I am not waiting 5 years to get laid ;).
