Today, while I was out en femme, I walked up to the sinks in a Women's bathroom when a 20-something woman looked up. We smiled at one another through the mirror and she said "Wow! Your makeup is great!" I hesitated, and curtly responded with a smile and a sparkle in my eyes, "Thanks!"
I paused because its sort of like someone saying "Wow! You lost tons of weight!".
<LOL> I'm not sure if I was read, or maybe what she imagined I looked like without makeup, though I'll take what she said as a compliment.
Have you heard women compliment each other on how well they've done thier makeup?

Women seem to compliment other women on just about everything. I am not passable and I have been complimented on my legs numerous times, my eyes, my hair (wig), and the other day a SA at dressbarn that I have known for several years even complimented me on my boobs, (perky). Then she proceded to tell me she was getting new boobies in Oct due to cancer.
Take it as a compliment and use your compliments and smile to break the ice.
By the way I live in PDX and hope to bump into you sometime.

I've notice this quite a bit! Almost anytime anywhere! The complement always deserves a thank you and a smile! Hugs!

I would take the compliment and thank her.

Yes, they do. I get them a lot and give them out in return. It is so much fun telling that cute girl or attractive lady in front of you in the coffee line that you love her boots, or whatever. They just seem to light up with great smiles all the time. I have also heard women compliment other women too.
