I was at a mall earlier today looking at some clothes and a couple of ladies that worked at the store asked if I needed any help. It was slow at the time, and I would have LOVED to have said, "Pick something out and dress me up!" or something along those lines. I think something like that would be a blast. Maybe next time I'll have the guts to do it or maybe to Victoria's Secret and do it.

Nice dream but I don't think that's what they ment. Lol. they'd probably help you select something and let you try it on.. Bet a request like that would get Paul Blart the mall cop chasing you with his Segway!

I agree with Karren, I am sure they wanted to help you find something. You could have said I am a Crossdresser looking for something to wear and that may have brought a pretty good Response. You do have to watch how you say things, if they think you are some kind of Pervert trying to get off, you will be thrown out. If you are honest with them they may have very well helped you find something that would look good on you.

I ask the women who tends to the changeing rooms on day, "where are the men fitting rooms". Her reply was " everyone uses these changeing rooms, just find what you need and I will have a room for you". I still wonder if she knew what I was asking.

It is a blast, and it does take guts. Just keep trying. You'll know when you've found a receptive SA who you feel comfortable with asking to try something on.

And maybe...just maybe...they'll call security on you.

Please don't do this. That's very impolite. MissMarcie is right. They might call security on you
Say instead, "Yes, you can help me. I am looking for an outfit to go out to dinner in (or out to a show, or whatever)."

I went into a women's clothing store a couple of weeks ago looking for something for my wife. (yes I shop for her too) The SA, a lady asked "can I help you?" I replied "please" she then replied "We should have something that will fit you" I replied "Good, but right after we get done shopping for my wife" her face dropped. It was obvious that she wasn't serious. Sometimes the SA's say things like as if they are programmed ( Can I Help you?) ( Are you looking for a particular size?) and other times it may be silly humour as if to embarrass you, but sometimes it's the real deal and you get honest help.

I agree with those above. To be so crudely blunt would most likely get you requested to leave the store or security called. However, that all being said, you could as mentioned above state that you are looking for something for yourself. If they want to go along with your fantacy, then they would likely ask your size and begin to show you some items that you might be interested in. After all, they want to make a sale. If they go along with your plan, then they might even ask if you'd lioike to try some things on to see how they fit and look on you. Again, its all about being subdued and low-keyed. SOme members have written quite abit about having such outtings at their favorite store, where the SA's are more than willing to help, pick out items they think will work for you and with sizing and offer honest opinions of whether the clothes look good on you etc.
If you are polite and are not too blatant about it, this can work for you. Its really much better and more fun when the SA's are supportive and helping you find the right outfits that really express your feminity. They will probably be as happy as you when they help you find the right items and put together a great look and outfit. Just be sure to buy.

Great advice from previous posts! When you are in a womens store, and you see items you like, ask the SA if "the items are true to size". This can lead to giving the SA more information about you as to your intent for being in the womens department. Most younger SAs are very accepting and open about helping anyone that would bring a sale.
