We've all seen the typical acronym soup GLBT.
Well I just got an email from my alma mata that puts TG first. The college group calls themselves TBGALA.
Transgendered Bisexual Gay And Lesbian Alumni
I like the sound of the acronym, particularly the GALA part. It just sounds so positive.
And I know it's just words, but by putting Transgendered first, it just sounds more welcoming to me, since I'm definitely hetero.
It's too bad my next reunion is 4 years off. There's a big deal campus dance at commencement / reunion, and I'd consider joining this group in an evening gown.
