First time shopping

Tonight I had my first shopping trip enfemme. I decided to get dolled up to the best of my abilities and headed out the door. I was wearing skinny jeans, a maroon long sleeve top and some black flats. Stein Mart was my destination but it was only open for twenty minutes by the time I got there. I jumped out of my car just as another car was pulling up and had me full on in their headlights. I said screw it and just went with it. As soon as I opened the front door a sales lady walked by and said I looked "gorgeous just gorgeous". Yeah I am pretty sure I was read right off the bat. I looked around for a bit and felt a little self concious when a guy was looking my way but didn't feel at all weird when shopping near another women. I checked out the dresses and a couple other items then headed towards the shoes. They only carry up to size 10 so nothing was going to fit me. At that point a lady comes by and says they are closing so I head for the door checking out a few more items on the way.
It might not have been a total success but I left with a smile on my face knowing that I got out the door dressed and out in public shopping.

This is me as I was dressed. Helpful comments and critisism are welcome.

Sometimes it just takes so long to get dressed and made up that it doesn't leave much time for shopping. Glad you had a good experience but like the old potato chip commercial you can't have just one. Bet you'll be looking for another time out before too long. Enjoy

:unsure:I have a bad feeling this is going to come out wrong but I can't resist asking because you look a lot like me dressed up (we aren't exactly the same but you could easily be confused for me at a distance). But how tall are you? I haven't gone out as of yet and seeing the uncanny resemblence to you gives me some excitement about possibly going out. I feel really embarassed asking.

I think you have a pretty face that could easily pass for female. Not to be critical, but, if you are able, you might thin and arch your brows a bit. Also, a little hip padding would give a more proportioned look with that great bustline. I'm so glad you got out!

Thanks all for the comments. I did have a good time and that is what matters. I am planning to go out again in Vegas in a couple weeks so I guess this was sort of a dry run. Kathi the Stein Mart I went to was up in Foothill Village just down the way from what I believe is your favorite WHBM. Would have gone in there if I could have but they were closed at that late hour.

Rebekka, I am 6 feet tall. That is why I wore the flats. Go ahead and go out, it's an awesome feeling.

Paulasue, thanks for the comments. I am working on thining out the brows but I can't do to much at once or I might raise some suspicions. As for the padding I am sure that would help because I don't quit fill the jeans I was wearing out. I have no butt or hips.

Way to go Michelle! Sounds like you did quite well with it. If this was the trial, you will blow the doors apart in Vegas. It is so much easier there in general and if you think about not being near home, it gets even easier. You don't need any comments from me, I already knew you look great!

You look great Michelle. Is that your real hair? It looks great. I shopped at the Bealls near me and they didn't seem to have a problem with me trying on womens clothes in the dressing rooms.

I loved hearing about your adventure out. I haven't personally ever shopped enfemme. You looked great! I sometimes wear longer bangs to take the focus off of my eyebrows. Maybe I should take a step into the mall myself.
