In Nov, last year i was diagnosed with levil 4 throat cancer, in Jan i started chemo and radiation, in late Feb, i finished treatment. The way i felt i didn't think i'd be dressing up anymore, i had no energy and i was very weak.It took a few months to get some of my strength back and i still had no urge to dressing up. I had scans in June and i was given the all clear.
The last couple of months i've got that urge back and all i want is to be dressed up all the time, probably to make up for lost time.I lye in bed in the morning and just think what i'm going to wear for the day. I can' wait to get dressed and put all my makeup on,i feel amazing when i'm finished. one thing to come out of this ordeal i've got to go and buy a lot of new dresses, skirts and blouses as i lost o lot of weight i'm down to 55kgs.So you never lose the urge to get dressed up.:):)

Welcome back and a super congratulations about your clean bill of health. I started dressing after my bout of prostate cancer. So, from the bad came the good for me, I am now dressing and loving it. I hope it is the same for you.

Glad to hear that you are doing better. Hope your health continues to improve. I like your attitude. Any reason to go shopping for new clothes is a good reason.
Cheers!

Welcome Back!

I know exactly what your experencing. I've had multibale surgeries(including Brain Surgery) within the last couple of years. I didn't feel like dressing for a very long time afterwards, but now I'm back to my old habits and I'm growing my hair long. Tell my friends it hides the scar, but if the truth be known, it's because.......:battingeyelashes:

congratulations on a full recovery I had throat cancer last yr too. Your right the only good to come out of it was to lose weight I can get back into those skinny jeans and a size 12 dress, I love that part, LOL. The rest wasn't so good.
I kind of lost the urge to during treatment. but it did return with a vengeance and the lost weight was very nice. Now to keep it off.

Hi Brenda , that is an amazing story of your recovery and I am very happy for you that you fought it because you wanted to live. And we all know that nothing can kill what we have and what we posses in side and that urge is not an urge at all it is really what we are (GIRLS) and nobody will ever take that away from us. Anyway I'm am super happy for you and please continue taking good care of yourself and keep us posted on your way back to wellness.

Sincerely Shaila
