I seemed to have foreshadowed this. I decided last month to take Oct 30- Nov 1st off from work because I did not want to feel obligated to dress up for work. For the past 5 Halloweens I have dressed en-fem one way or another at work. After the first year, I was always "begged" to do it because I fool a lot of people. Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy it, but I just didnt want to do it at work this year. Now I am sitting here in jeans and a t-shirt. I got dressed after I took a shower about an hour ago, but just wasn't "feeling it" so I changed. In a first in over 10 years, I am not dressing when we take the kids out tonight. Just one of those slumps that happens every now and then.

i don't see it as a slump, more a way to give yourself a break so that when you come back to it, the enjoyment and appreciation of dressing are magnified and multiplied! :)

Sounds like your just dressing up as a guy this year... Always good to mix it up! The same thing year after year can get old... Variety is the spice of life... (I'm running out of cliches...). :)

Thats kind of what I just told my wife. She ask why I wasn't dressed, I told her I wasn't feeling it, but there is always my next day off:)

I'm feeling it too, mamma just got called in to work and I got the whole day to myself until the kids come home. It's just more exciting to dress on normal days. Today, I'll just get myself sick with candy, lol. But if I had found a nice costume I'd want to be "Hit-Girl" from the movie "Kick Ass". As Karen said, I'll be a guy today, that's my disguise, a t-shirt and levies.

Sometimes it's nice to just "free" ourselves, Carroll! We all have so many responsibilities in our lives! Adding another self imposed one when you're not "feeling it"? I'm glad you're giving yourself permission to skip it!
We ALL need to be able to do that MORE!
(He says after spending the last month prepping himself and Sherry for various Halloween outfits and activities!)

Balance in life is an important thing. If you try and push something to be fun, sometimes it isn't. It is always good to see what strikes your fancy at the moment and go with it. A little more relaxing too!
