I was so in the closet for so many years. But you know, as the great Richard Dean Anderson has often said, life's too short. So recently I've been coming out to more and more of my female friends. It has been no biggie whatsoever. Not a single bad reaction, it's been total acceptance. Infact 2 of them have asked to see pictures of me dressed. Which of course, yeah, scary, but since they've been so wonderful I owe them that much and more. Now I'm not sure that my male friends would be so accepting. But hey, the women I love the most are accepting me as a woman. Has to be good yes?

I assuming you can trust these girls to not just blab this secret to just anyone. If they are truely trustworthy, and as long as telling them makes you feel happy, then I agree that this could be very good for you. Imagine how much fun you all could have doing all the things girls do together.

The women that know of my fem side seem quite accepting too. Of course, I can't read their minds, but they seem very supportive and encouraging.

I trust them completely. They're cherised friends of many years. None of them even suspected when I told them, which is not what I'd expected. I thought they'd have suspected for sure. Marissa333, I'm so sorry that narrow minded people were so intolerant to you.

Thank you RDG. I was 5 or so when my father threatened to cut my penis off with a pair of scissors after I told my siblings I wanted to be a girl. He wasn't serious of course, but it defiantly taught me at a young age that people just don't understand what we go through as TGs. The only reason why I never transitioned.

I've also found coming out to female friends to be quite rewarding! Just a couple of days ago a friend gave me a new purse which I adore! Hugs!

Marissa...that's just horrible ! I know that it was extreme, but you can see the mark that it left. My father just told me to stop, and that was the end of the conversation. Of course he knew that I continued, and just basically 'let it go' which was the best thing that he could have done.

Sharing with friends, especially close ones is great, because its that big "secret" that you want to get out, but scared to tell...all it is doing is letting them know an intimate detail about yourself, and it actually brings you closer together...
