Well it seems like forever ago that I started lurking these forum boards. I don't get here much anymore because I am just way to busy in life, but when I first started here I was afraid to open the blinds while dressed. This forum and others were a big part of my acceptance process, so I would like to say thank you to everyone. Six months ago I remember saying to myself, I am comfortable in the middle and have no desire to go beyond that. Today I interviewed for a job. Not just any job, but a management position at the lions den of chick'dom...Sephora. The only discussion about my gender was about the first five minutes and all we discussed was my legal name and how to record that on the "official" application. Outside of that she said, "Don't worry about the rest it will have no impact on your interview." I will do back flips, forward flips, side to side flips and any other kinda flips if I get called back for round two :)

That's great. I think its wonderful that your life is keeping you busy, first of all, and secondly, I think its great that you had a good interview with sephora. Best of luck!

So I a sure the question on every girls mind is... Do we all get a discount, and how big of a discount are we talking about here?!?

so like if you get this, will you be working as a woman?
I know a lot of TS think they won't find jobs but a lot of our sisters are out there working. Some for themselves, some for mom and pop places, and some for big companies.
Anyways i better cut this short, i have to be at work early tomorrow and I have to prim and prepare ;)

Yea, employment is really my last step before coming out full time. I agree that a lot of girls think they wont find jobs and for me its my biggest fear. So much so that I will not go full time without knowing that I will have the means to support myself. Yes it is possible, and yes many have done it, but for every success story there is a nightmare on the other side for many. Maybe its just me but I need to make sure my butt is covered with something more than a skirt.
