I have not seen any threads on personal Spiritual Faith and I am curious...
How many of us are people of Faith - Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc.? Do you struggle with your faith because of your feminine needs and desires? Or has coming to grips with your feminine side deepened your faith? Do you find it challenging to be a crossdresser in a community of faith whether you are in or out of the closet?
I'd love to hear from some of y'all!

Hi Eva
I was raised Christian, but for several years now (I'm in my 40s) I've been of the firm belief that spirit and religion are not real. If you need a label for me, I'm a Materialist Determinist Rationalist Athiest!
I know this position isn't popular and possibly fewer of my friends know about it than know about my CDing, and I know how important people's faith is to them so I tend to avoid mentioning it, but you asked - this is my personal faith!
And no, it doesn't conflict with my dressing in the slightest, I'm very glad to say!

as a christian i'am mixed but believe in Jesus Christ he released me form my bonds and shackels. He taught about love and to not pass judgements on people. I'am no longer condemned by law but saved by grace. As a musician that is my favorite song I do it so many ways, blues , trad.,rock, countryand soulfully . Don't let people put you in bondage. That is only if you are into it. LOL no Jesus no peace, know Jesus know peace. I only came grips and accepted my C/Ding after accepting Jesus. love and peace to all GRACE to all

Interesting Thread on the MtF CDForum, Eva!
I'm Christian and have had the usual struggles...
Guilt was my worst enemy as a CDer... that tied in nicely with my received beliefs!
The one has very little to do with the other, as I see it now.
Rachel, your post leads me to ask whether I CD as a
Materialist... somewhat:)
Determinist... I'm not sure:worried:
Rationalist... certainly not:hmph:
Well, I suppose I need my Faith:Peace:

I am a Christian of the Roman Catholic faith and although I love reading the writings of St.Paul, choose to ignore the bit where he says "that man shouldnt dress in womans clothes"
My reasoning is that priests vestments are more like womens clothing, therefore if it's ok for them then it's ok for me

I am a Christian. Sinead, you have to study the bible for when it was written and to whom were they speaking. In Paul's time some evil men would dress as women and sneak into women's tents to rape them. Do you see what I mean? Leanne

I just left my rector who happens to be gay. God loves him and God loves me. Church often gets in the way of the grace of God through the misinterpretations that people have promoted. The historical-critical method of biblical scholarship has shed light on many aspects of scripture, mostly that it reflects some of the culture of the period of time in which it was written. The purity codes of Leviticus and other books that are used to demonize some of us also prohibit other activities that we willingly embrace as OK in our lives. People have been misunderstanding the whole are of gender, gender orientation and sexual orientation for many centuries and will continue to do so. The writings of scripture and the teachings of some churches are part of this tradition.
God bless us every one

Well, it seems to me like they banned the inanimate object and the act continued to happen. Rape is illegal but wearing a dress is the problem... sounds like the anti-gun politicians and activists... robbery and murder is illegal, but let's blame the guns, and if we ban guns, there won't be any more robbery or murders. (sorry, soapbox)
Now I know why they banned crossdressing, I can rally on the side of skirts the same way I support the RKBA!!! YEAH!!!!

You don't hear many Chuches now enforcing the rule in Corinthians about women keeping their heads covered and not being allowed to speak in Church. And that's NEW testament!
