Hi all thanks for looking would love to hear your views.
I don't get a lot of chance to dress much bar wearing thongs under my work clothes and don't really class that as dressing. Got a g/f which seems to make it hard to get the time, as we all probably no or have.
Anyway got a night to myself as she was out so thought great time to get all dolled up. I have still not been out dressed in public yet and thought right tonight so in the day brought some new gym to take a run out (small steps first)
Got all dressed and thought I looked good until I wanted to take a photo to see myself and show u girls. done my make up and took the photo well made me change my mind. Good body bum looked great and all. But why is it so hard to make the eyes look good watched videos on utube (smokey eyes) looked amazing on her. But I feel like my eyes go to far back in my head to see the make up is it just me or all males eyes.

I've done the same thing.... Just nothing was working.... Makeup sucked.... Didn't look good. Nothing matched... Felt fat... To the point where I've removed my makeup and undressed and gone to a local casino to play the slots... I'm thinking that women have to go through the same thing once in a while... "Bad hair days". "Bad makeup day". But at least we have a choice and don't HAVE to go out looking bad! Lol.

I have had times when nothing seemed to come together. Lips off center, eyes blacked out, dress to short, arms to hairy, five pm shadow at 10 am, hair misplaced, run in my hose, feet that smell and nose that runs.

I have no idea where I am going with this.

I do know that I had better go home and start again tomorrow.

have you ever looked at younger women who are experimenting with makeup? I think that even real women need to practice when they are learning to use make up . You will get better and better at it .

Yeah I get we all have bad days but Jesus that night was bad did not feel fat. Changed outfits a couple of times till I was happy with what I was wearing. So from neck down I was a girl for the night. The thing was when I looked in the full length mirror I was so happy it was not till I took photos that I thought s*** what do I look like

I do the best I can with my makeup but can't do my eyes either. I used to get upset about never getting my eyes right but I wear glasses anyway so I doubt whether eye makeup would be an improvement or not.

is it just me or all males eyes.

Not all, but many. Average male eyes are deeper set, with a heavier brow (bone structure, that is). The other surrounding bone structures differ as well. Many make-up techniques for women are intended to increase contrast, darken, and create a deepening effect. Do the same thing on many males and you get what you describe ... black holes. That's one reason why a good transformation artist with specific knowledge of corrective makeup as it applies to MtF transformation is so valuable.

It's funny, some days I do my make up, look in the mirror, and say well old man, you look stupid, because I look like a clown, eyes suck, blush is harsh, and eyebrows look like a hedge row, but what are you going to do? then some days you get it all right, it all comes together, and you look in that mirror, and say, wow, I'm pretty, really pretty, (OK, maybe it's the pink fog between me and the mirror, but everything goes right, and you get that feeling). You said you don't get to do it all that often, and I find the only time I get it really right, is when I am doing it often enough to get confidence in what I'm doing. More practice, after all the whole point of make up is to improve the flaws, and make crossdressers feel better!

From what you said, you're 're pretty inexperienced. I know your opportunities are limited, but my suggestion is to use those opportunities to practice, practice, practice. You may not pass, but once you've mastered the basic skills, you'll have more confidence in your appearance and going out with the goal of blending will be within reach. Watch some on line make up videos - more than one, because every make up artist and person has their own preferences and techniques.

Beyond that, we all have bad hair and makeup days, or picked an outfit that really isn't flattering or just doesn't look right, but those things happen to GGs too.
