Hi,
I'm interested to know how many of you that are socially transitioned to full time have gotten tattoo's in a typically female location of the body?
Example; My first tattoo after transition was a fairly large tamp stamp on my lower back.
The second one was on my outside right ankle.
The third one was on the top portion of my left breast.
The fourth one was on my left shoulder.
The fifth one was on my right arm.
The sixth one I'm getting for Christmas a Tigger on my right shoulder.
How about all of you?

I don't have tattoo's in the basic female areas but I do have a full sleeve on my arm and I have model with my tatt in a few of the tattoo rags online. All my female friends are covered with tatt's also and none of them have them in the traditional so called female areas.

I am a cd and I am planning on getting my first tattoo on my right arm. It is not typically female but I'm excited to get it. I'm afraid it will take away from my dressing though :(

My dear Kimiko,
Please believe me when I say that absolutely nothing would take away from your dressing or appearing GG.
Your simply beautiful so go get your tattoo. :O)

I don't find anything inherently male or female about tattoos anymore, but I really do not like them. I would not want one, and do not like them on other people.

I think some tattoos are beautiful, at least when their colors are still vivid. But we can change so much in a lifetime, that to wear a permanent snapshot of one moment in our evolution seems shortsighted. But I do many foolish things myself.

While I have seen some very nice tattoos, I have never thought enough of them to have one put on my body. For those who do like them, more power to you. Have at it. Cover yourself from head to toe with them if that is what you want. Self expression is self expression no matter the form it takes.

I feel the exact way. I hate tattoos. To me they are so distracting from the beauty of the individual. But that is just me and there are tons of folks who get them.
But I wonder what they are going to think of their tattoos when they are old and the tattoos look like you through up on yourself and have faded and all wrinkled up. Plus what happens if the tattoos you have go totally out of style in the future.
And why any woman would get a tattoo on their breasts is beyond me. Especially, trans women who have waited all their life to get boobs then when they do the first thing they do is to deface them. I would think that you would want to show them off not cover then up permanently.

What's a stamp?
Stephie
a "tramp stamp" is that tattoo that a female gets on the small of her back usually half of it is "below the belt" and the top half is sticking out if your top rides up. the whole thing may be showing if she bends over.

Yeah it's so the man has something to look at while giving it to her from behind. Hence the "tramp" part of tramp stamp :P

Have any of you really noticed that their are more GG's sporting tattoos than men these days. It really is a twist that they are wearing the tattoos, and we want to wear the Bras, panties and heels. It is a tradeoff I have no problem with!

I was recently invited by one of the Make-up houses at a departmental store to see a model being made up with their Christmas Range of Make-up. Gold eye shadows, eye liner, deep red lipstick etc. We had wine and Christmas pies as well.
When the demonstation was all over, we were all sitting and chatting, when one of the ladies noticed that one of the other ladies had a tattoo peeking out from the cuff of her long sleeve top, and asked about it. She then pulled her sleeve up to reveal her whole arm was tattooed. It apparently took 2 years and cost an awful lot of money. Some of the ladies said they thought it was fantastic, one or two revealed that they had a small tattoo. I personally thought that it look awful, but then that's just my personal taste. The lady in question then also revealed that she had 'stocking seams' tattooed up the backs of her legs, and laughed that she did not have to worry about straight seams. She was wearing jeans, so we never got to see the seams. I would say that she was in her 30's.
To me, a small tattoo discretely placed looks fine, but not a large area, whether it's on women or men, but then we are all different with different tastes.

I have two tattoos, both in honor of major life changing events. Of course, there is going to be a 3rd now :) I'm pretty sure I know what ... although still pondering. There is a sun on my right ankle ( for "rising again" after being clinically dead for a few seconds). Right now I'm thinking a moon on the other side of that ankle. My gender is now balanced and I want to honor that.
I love tattoos, but many -- maybe most -- don't fit where they are. That bothers me a bit. As well, they are often very dark in subject matter - spooky. Sometimes when you find out the story behind "why", strangely placed tattoos suddenly seem quite appropriate. Most I think are gotten to fit into society as tattoos are now very common.
The issue of what will you think when you are old ? For me at least, I am not worried about that. The longer I live with the 2 I have, the more they "fit" me. You get used to them so that the image just becomes body, rather than addition. No different than a pattern of freckles or the like (which I have an abundance of - could that be why I don't mind tats ???)

I try not to worry about growing old (that's a lie), in defense of such thought I now define "old" as 10 years older than I am right now .... makes a lot of worries go away

I've seen several girls with an arm entirely covered in tattoos and I think it looks good. I like them if the tattoos are done well and the placement isn't all out of wack.
I have been planning on getting a tattoo, kind of like a badge, when I go full-time and don't look back. I wanted it on my arm, but now I may be entering the business world where tattoos have to be hidden :(

Tattoos are addicting for those who like them. The first one I will say is the scariest cause u don't know what to expect. If I knew then what I learned during and after the fact I think I would have chose somewhere else on my body for my first tattoo rather then my wrist. In hind sight as worked up as I had myself and as scared as I was bought it getting a tattoo on one of the most painful spots on ur body to get one. Not the best idea. But know I'm hooked and can't wait to get a new one

I started with a flower on my left ankle (doesn't everybody?) and worked my way up. I'm now pretty totally covered (feet, legs, abdomen and an enormous backpiece) except for my chest (won't finish that until after implants) and arms -- which I keep clear for business reasons now, but will probably do someday. The themes are flowers, birds, butterflies and high heels (I have worked in several drawings of shoes by prominent artists). Current work is a big peacock that starts low on my right side with the tail extending over my bottom (ouchie area) to the top rear of my thigh.

I have an ivy vine on my upper left arm and my spouses signature on my right hip. I love tattoos because in many ways they express the wearer. My spouse has 11 of them. I would like to have a dragon on my right shoulder curled around my right arm down to my elbow. The stamps? don't like them much.....

"The interlaced triangles signify the bipolarity in nature - spirit and matter, or male and female. The apex of the white triangle represents the divine monad; the apex of the dark triangle, the manifested worlds. The upward triangle suggests spirit, consciousness, and concealed wisdom, which are mirrored in the downward-pointing triangle representing matter, receptive space, manifestation, or wisdom revealed."
besides that, the outlined triangle is a delta sign, symbolizing change, and the black triangle is a well known feminist/female empowerment symbol. and they also represent my initials, AV.
